I have several Crosman ( and other brand) CO2 guns, both pistol and rifle, and I always leave pressure in the guns while they are not being used. Is there a hard and fast rule- either for or against such a practice?

From what I have been able to gather leaving CO2 charged along with a minute drop of Crosman Pelgun oil on the tip of the cartridge when inserting is the correct procedure. Experts say this gives the longest seal service life.

Yes always with mine and the 180 is from the 1960's and still holds CO2
