New Aquisition Need Info if Ya Got It "Benyamin" SMJ 45mm Rifle From Indonesia

So I just picked this rifle up from a gentlemen locally. He described it as "Benjamin" SMJ, but he never could find out anything about it. He had purchased the gun from the original owner many years ago who had advised him that "he watched it being built", but he didn't know where it was built. I figured if the owner "had" it built then it might be akin to a 1 of 1 type gun.

the gun was beautiful in person and came in a nice padded gun case. I just handled the gun and didn't look hard at it until I got it home which is when I noted that the name was not "Benjamin" but "BenYamin". I've only found two items on the internet regarding Benyamin rifles neither of which pictures this particular gun . One entry says that it was made in Indonesia possibly from the Bandung West Java province. Another entry says its listed in the Blue Book of Airguns 7th edition on page 124. I located a photo of that and its different to this gun.

More likely a Filipino gun, I have a couple of them of similar design/ build quality. Bulk fill C02 guns are a cottage industry there, pinpointing the manufacturer can be difficult. The good news is these guns are survival tools and need to be easily serviceable, usually screwdrivers are all it takes to rebuild them. "Benyamin" is a play on Benjamin guns. Enjoy it, they're loud as *(&^!

Here's some additional photo's.  I've found that there is an obstruction about 3/4 of the way down the barrel, so firing it will be delayed.  But it does pump up, hold air and fire.

Update:  I was able to clear the obstruction rather easily with a piece of round wire down the barrel. The obstruction was a BB rather then a .177 pellet. So the previous owner made a mistake there I guess. After clearing the barrel, took it out back and fired the rifle with a pellet and it worked great.
