seems a shame to waste hollow points on tin cans though
Those prices went up quick.

I personally, have never had a good experience with any of the pellets I've received from Amazon... due to this, I decided long ago that I'd never/ever/ever buy pellets (of any kind) from Amazon again...I feel terrible that I even directed anyone to this sale...Please accept my apologies!!!
No apologies needed here.I've purchased dozens of retail carded 22 cal CPHP from Amazon ($4.99-$6.24 per 500) with no shipping damage. Amazon's pellet packaging is really BAD, but the CPHP tins I received were intact due to the retail card packaging. I'll buy these from Amazon again when my stash runs low and the price drops back to (near?) normal. My Amazon tins of 22 CPHP shoot the same as my Walmart tins... good in most of my air rifles, but NOT excellent. There are some obvious snug/loose breech fit variations (estimate 5%) in each tin that show up as velocity extremes on the chronograph and fliers on paper. I think that should be expected for mass produced pellets in this price range. Folks that expect 100% match-grade quality at penny-a-pellet pricing will be disappointed. All my CPHP tins were produced pre-covid. It would not be a surprise to me if quality has gone down over the last year.

Three tins were dented and the pellets looked like someone was using the tins as maracas with many damaged skirts. That was the last time I bought pellets from amazon.

I did not really look at the time of this posting but we're they sold/shipped by Amazon or a 3ed party seller?
