Dan, congratulations! Those Avengers are a lot of gun for the money! Enjoy shooting!
So I started off shooting cheap crosman premier HP's ,and they didn't do to bad at 900fps hitting metal 1 inch spinners almost at will at 50 yards , then I tried H&N barracuda match 21.14 g ... they shot 840 fps with the same tune , and WOW ! were they ever accurate tearing a ragged hole out of a dime size circle at 50 yards , I am very impressed how well it shot those H&N's , and I will be testing a bunch more pellet type's tomorrow ...
James I use the pressure pour method casting with the nipple on my hooded ladle held directly into the sprue plate of the mold, then tilt both simultaneously back and forth. This method fills those tiny cavities great.
Congratz on your second Avenger, Dan!
Dan the pins stay in the mold when you're casting, the different lengths are whichever weight you want from the mold. I prefer the longest pin on all my pellet molds.

Thank you ! like you Charlie I couldn't resist ! .... you know the Dark side say's it's futile to resist ! .... is a SAMROD next ? Hey Dan, I almost hate to say this to myself, but ... IF the SamRod turns out to be what I hope it is, I feel I may find myself shooting less and less those "other" airguns of mine, the ones where I still have to cycle through those pesky extra recocking motions for every shot...I know, I know, cries of "Blasphemy!" are resounding all around me already. But this is mainly because lately I have been watching a lot of airgun hunting vids on Youtube, where you get to watch the actual POI on quarry through a camera scope, and where you see the scope sight picture as it waggles all over the place when the shooter recocks his gun for a follow up shot...wouldn't happen with a true semi-auto gun.
