New Diana 350 magnum( T05 Trigger)

PA has a supply of supposedly new 350 magnums in .177 with T05 triggers.

First question.. what was the last year the t05 trigger was used on these rifles?

Second question.. are there any differences in parts on the older guns other than the triggers?

The reason I ask is I know the newer models have the t06 triggers? Just wondering if there are any other differences.

I was really wanting one in .22 cal., as I felt the larger bore would make more efficient use of the power plant, but the t05 in 177 is available for $100.00 dollars cheaper than the to6 trigger model.
Good deal or not?

I honestly don't recall the exact year they went from T05 to T06.  It was about five years ago.  The trigger group changed, obviously, and I believe there was some change in the piston as well.  I do know the scope rail changed between T05 and T06.  The newer rail is longer and has two fully through drilled scope stop holes instead of the depressions in the T05 rail.  Other than those differences they should be the same.  You can turn the .177 into a .22 by swapping the barrel.  Unfortunately it would be less expensive for you to just purchase the T06 outright in .22 if that was your wish.  I inquired about a Diana 34 barrel a couple years ago.  The barrel alone was $160 from Umarex.  Either way, good luck on your decision.

Buy the rifle u want, if u want a T06 .22cal buy that! I will say this as a warning to you! In the last yrs of the T05 production the 34's and 350"s had Chinese barrels on them!!!!! their a 12 land barrel, not the standard German 8 land barrels! I purchased 2 34's in this time frame of production T05's and I was not very happy with them! I think this is why u still see a lot of New Old Stock T05 rifles still for sale!

The 350 Mag is a pretty senseless buy in .177 cal - been there. You'll have a four-foot long log of a gun with a hefty recoil, that provides just a tiny bit more KE than an infinitely more maneuverable HW95 in .22 cal. Pelletier agrees with me: the 350 Mag is a .22 cal gun.

That’s the kind of info I was looking for.
PA is out of stock on the t06 models right now, but I may wait till they have some more.

Yep, the Chinese bbl. would be a deal killer for me.
If I wanted Chinese, i’d Just buy a xs28 (Chinese 350  clone) for an even cheaper price.
I’ll try to check on the bbls.; if they’re not sure, I think i’ll pass on this deal and wait for the t06 to be back in stock.

Good point with having Chinese barrels.I remember years back every manufacturer was having price increases except them...until someone figured out them swapping  barrels.

 I had a 350 mag for a while in .22 with german barrel...it was ok.

I still have a copy of the letter that Diana sent me concerning the outsourced barrels that is dated March 2010.
It states that the Diana 34 was expected to switch back to German barrels mid-year, and that the Diana 350 had already went back to German barrels.

Ya but you don't know when these rifles were produced that their sell as NOS? Diana dropped the ball on these rifles, I would not buy 1 unless the seller could confirm it a German barrel and that's the 1 u were getting?

Just got off the phone with Ruth( I think that was her name) at PA.
I was told there was no way she could confirm how many lands the bbls. had.

Think i’ll wait for the t06 to be back in stock.
I think the longer rail, t06 trigger, and the knowledge it will have the German bbl. is more than worth the extra dollars for my peace of mind.

I had a ruger  air magnum years ago which is a chicom knockoff of the 350 and it was accurate and made quite a bit more KE (19 fp) than any hw95 I ever heard of.  There are more heavy pellets available these days too.  I’d love to shoot some 13 gr jsb’s in a Diana magnum.

The D34 .22 cal in my avatar has the Chinese barrel. A case of my not asking before buying. But it is a laser. Squirrel head shots to 40 yards, groundhogs dropped in their tracks at 25. I've no regrets.

Talked to my “main man” at PA today again about when the t06 versions would be available again and he said they’re over due now.
I asked him about the bbl. situation on the t05’s they have in stock.
He agreed to send me one(paid for of course) to look at and if it’s not what I want he’ll send a shipping label to send it back and a full refund.
Also said to the best of his knowledge, these are late models just before the t06 came out and was pretty sure they have German bbls.
I’ll order one in the morning and let you guys know about what I find on the bbl. when it arrives.

If you call, i'm sure they might be inclined to even waive the shipping considering matching offer from pyramidair. I think $17.50 shipping would be well worth the much better T06 trigger and confirmed german barrel (my 0.02)

Glad I looked at that link again, I missed the part about the t06 trigger in the description part before.
Definitely says t06.... i’ll Call them in the morning.

Barrel aside, I don't mind the t05 trigger. But given the choice most would probably take the t06.
