Not the "ever loving best"...but tried adapting what was there (vbasically "free") first to see if it was quet enough.MAde platic bushings (from a dead marks-a-lot type marker) for 3 holes (3rd one being the end cap) at about 7mm (.28").DSCN2538 by Robert Dean, on FlickrKnow there are folks here on-line that swear the size of the passages don't make a difference....except thy do when going from some big azz as-issued size (closer to 20mm. .40") to a small size (7mm/.28"),Good enough for what I use it for...nothing is going to make it as quiet as a low powerd PCP. Am sure there are aftermarket inserets/baffles that could make it a bit quieter....but stopped at quiet enough.

Like you, I found that quiet enough of some my older Hatsan guns, but they used aluminum baffles with caliber specific holes. That was prior to the bean counters getting ahold of the QE manufacturing... Of course, the best way to get the most silence out of Hatsan QE baffles is to throw them in the trash along with the shroud, and get a good LDC. The downside is you have to come up with a solution to keep things rigid, because that shroud plays an important part in the rigidity of the whole barrel setup.
