Crosman 600 & Sears Roebuck 126.19360 Serial Numbers

So the question I have regards the serial numbering on the Crosman 600 & Sears variant pistols. In the not so distant past, I picked up a Sears Roebuck version which had serial number 0001. Did they build them together so the serial numbers were combined thus this is #1 for all the guns? Or, since they had two versions they had two serial number series?

I would think its #000001 for the Sears model....but who knows. I'll  check my airgun book and see when they were produced.

AJ62, that is a wonderful question.  I've been aware of the 600 for less than a year and now own two of them.  Is there anyone tracking/logging serial numbers of these?  The variations that I've seen are:

1)  Steel vs aluminum triggers
2)  Three different piercing caps
3)  5 hole sideplate vs. 6 hole sideplate (not interchangable)
4)  Radial stroke of the safety & corresponding slot length
5)  Length of the safety slot on the left stock panel
6)  Some have the stop (p/n 90) & stop roller (p/n 92); probably coincides with the 5/6 hole sideplate thing. 
7)  Brass vs. aluminum valve body
  Obviously various "pat pend" and "Crosman 600" locations on the frame

Any others variations that I have missed?

There should be a 2 or 3 digit date code stamped on the pistol somewhere. Curious to hear what the code is.

I like that Sears mainly because it would be good for a lefty, would have been nice if Crosman had offered the 600 in a left hand version.

Two types of safety levers; one has a round thumb stud, other doesn't. I've only seen the safety with the stud on guns with a steel trigger.

I recently installed the studded safety and steel trigger on one of my 600's that came with a non-stud safety and aluminum trigger. The parts are interchangeable.

L/H (600-110) & R/H (600-109) grip sets were available.

Is this number on the frame typically? This pistol appears to never have been fired or had the screws fiddled with. So nervous to do if the numbers are internal.
