REX trifecta.

A little while ago I reacquired a REX .357 I traded for a Sumatra,

so I was able to reconvert the REX P from Mini Carbine back to Pistol,

I then put the 14.5" barrel on the rifle I just got, sent the shroud to Neil Clague to be shortened,....unfortunately the project for the shorter air tube didn't pan out, but looks like I found an other avenue so I still might get a shorter tube for the mini-Carbine.

the other one I kept stock as a normal carbine.

So now I have a Pistol, a Mini-carbine ans a Carbine all in the same caliber, all shooting the 190gr Flat nose Hunters supply bullet.

The Mini-Carbine is also set up for shooting arrows as well as bullets

The Carbine once Pyramyd gets Air Bolts back in stock will also be set up to shoot Arrows as well as bullets.


Neil Clauge also made me a cute 8" LDC that doesn't ad to much lenght on the Mini-Carbine if I need it,.......I really like the sound signature with the Clauge LDC on.


Also I have 2 extra tubes to take out hunting with me.

The Pistol is set up with open sights,

I just made a side holster for it ( I'll take pictures tomorrow and post them )

The Mini-Carbine once I get a shorter tube will be very small, but even with the stock tube it's a Small, light gun

With the LDC on it's back to the normal length of the stock Carbine.

The Carbine it's your standard stock factory gun, but the 190gr bullets turn it into a beast, a great small, lightweight hunter.

No I had this pistol for maybe,...4 years now ? maybe more.

I turn it into a Mini-Carbine but now that I got an other action in I was able to turn it back to the original pistol form.

the detachable tubes are great for packing and for carrying extra air with you.

the guns are soooooo light and small that are a joy to carry all day.

I still fancy to buy a Rex P in .357 or .45, but there is hardly any availability of the Rex-P at the moment.

Looking at your collection, it definitely will be worth to wait for in the (hope near) future.

now you need one REX in .25 so you can get one of Wills arrow barrels . The 25 valve has the perfect flow for this arrow tube.

But I think I would use it to shoot the 52gr BobBoatTail bullet, that I have a mold for

Manny, this is a great demonstration of the flexibility of the rex platform.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a .25 or perhaps a .30 Rex.  It would make a great partner for my Leshiy.

Today I went hunting,

The gun on duty was the REX Mini-Carbine loaded with Air Bolts,

I didn't need to take the pistol but I wanted to field test the side holster I made,.....after 8 hours in the bush I can say that it works great, very comfortable, even works as an arm rest 

I like it because I can have the pistol loaded but the muzzle points away from me, both the hip holster and the leg holster I have the muzzle still points down my leg and I was never comfortable with it.

Nawh, it's been super dry and the fruit season nonexistent, no mangoes in my secret spot,
don't even know where the pigs are virtually no signs, also very, very noisy with the super dry leaves covering the forest floor like a thick blanket,...but I had fun

Love your Rex's!  I was considering getting one, but I don't have much anywhere to really use it.  I'd likely be using my little 30-30 if I were in one of those spots.

As much as I love open sights I really wanted to have the ability to take the pistol out and if I needed to be able to use it as a Mini- Carbine too.

So I mounted a 1.25-4 pistol scope.
I mounted the scope as far forward as possible so it works like a scout scope when I put the rifle air tube on.


The holster I already cut long time ago to take a scope so I was all good there
