100 yards? LOL.....for that kind of distance (or even frequent 50ish yards) I'd rely on a rimfire.
Out to 50 yards however under perfect shooting conditions I've done OK OCCASIONALLY with my .177 HW break barrels...........

I made the 100 yard club with an underlever “springer” (gas ram) earlier this year. Hatsan Torpedo 150 Sniper Vortex .177
I haven’t shot much at 100 other than the day I qualified but have shot it quite a bit at 50-75yds and it does very well from a rest.

 I have shot a few breakers at 100, amazing what a slight wind can do to POI, but one can work with it and have fun trying. If conditions are perfect the odds get better. Heavier ammo is your friend at ranges over 50 yards.

I have been anxiously waiting to see if anyone other than Mike (Leaded) has accomplished this. Is he the only one? It is an impressive feat!

I know of at least one other member who joined with a springer.  One of our first members actually, Jayclimber shot a membership qualifying target in 2016 with a Chinese B3-2 in .22

Did I read that correctly that Jayclimber used a 4X scope on a $49 rifle? And I thought that the paper looked small at 100 yards using a 9X optic!

Now I find myself wondering what the muzzle velocity is for a B3-2 shooting 18gr JSBs?  7 mil dot hold on a 4X is a lot of drop! I hold 8 mil dots on a 9X scope at that distance shooting 700 fps.

That is pretty amazing now that you bring it up. 100 yards is a long ways with a 4x let alone the rifle. Wonder if it was tuned? Either way holy cow!

Really good eyes? Not impossible, I suppose. I read a story of a guy who wanted to show his mom the four largest moons of Jupiter. (They are visible in most binoculars, especially 10x and higher.) Anyway, he sets up the scope, his mom looks at Jupiter with the scope, then without, checks again and eventually says something to the effect, "so? I don't need the scope to see them."

I haven't had many chances to shoot at 100y, and one of my 100y ranges just got quarantined, so no joy there, in more than one sense.     
However, I'd like to try that eventually. The one try I gave it showed promise (Hatsan Edge .22, with JSB 15.89).


Just like field target is separated between springers and PCP, I feel like our NUAH might do well do make such a separation. Shooting a 15FPE springer at 100y is quite a different feat than shooting a 30FPE PCP at that range....

And as we're on the topic. Maybe NUAH would also separate the projectiles...? A pellet class and a slug class maybe...?

was thinking about this, day of fun shoot the winds will be around 8mph so during the calm spots i may shoot a springer group. will print a few targets out in case anyone wants to attempt the 100 yard
