That's one of my big concerns about the guns too because according the the hearsay there's going to be parts available for them . . . time will tell but still what a deal on a super cool reasonably priced gun

I agree, for $300, my .25 is a really good shooter. I modified the barrel band to make it a clamp, and it is working out well.

With all the negative reports on this gun lately.. even as much as calling it a "Toy Gun".. I thought I would just post an update...

I'm still shooting my Avenger set up just as it was when this thread went silent.... and I'm still loving it.

Wish I could buy one of those NOE pellet molds. Or at least buy some more FX 25.4 grain pellets. My Avenger loves them. I tested some 27 grain Crosman's out of curiosity and because I could buy them. The shot pretty poorly. So I shot a couple FX groups just to be sure it wasn't me. Biggest is about 3/8 at 33 yards. Reg is set at 2100 which gives me 880 fps or about 44 ft lbs with these pellets. Seems like enough. 2400 reg only added about 20 fps.

I'm still waiting for the haters to say what they like instead that is similarly reasonable in price and accurate. I don't really expect a serious response.

I've had one for 3 days and couldn't agree more. I don't see anything else out there at that price point with better features or performance. The DARs look nice but reading these forums scared me from purchasing one. That being said, I have to exchange mine for another. It has a slow leak, but that could be from any manufacturer. I have never shot a gun as accurate out of the box as this. The adjustability is amazing. It puts my .25 synrod to shame. I love it. Got a chrono today and have the reg at 1200 which is holding now lol. HS all the way out and getting 634 fps with 33.94 grain Jsbs and a ton of shots.They all go in one hole at 30 yards. When the new one gets here I'll tune it for power. I have woodchuck to take care of. I like the gun so much I'll keep exchanging until I get one that works. I've paid alot more for a whole lot less. The wood stocked model certainly doesn't feel toyish to me. I hope the new one shoots as accurate and doesn't slowly lose air.

Mine leaked at first and I sent it to Air Venturi to repair under warranty and 5 weeks later it came back not leaking.

You might try dry firing a time or two before you let it sit. Seems to help (but also wastes a little air). Mine has held at 4000 for a week but also seemed to leak a little last fill when I did not dry fire it.

Keep your eyes out for A.E. Swede re-opening. Their high capacity (17 shot in .22) magazines are excellent quality, on a par with FX. $27.00 a pop but worth it. Top shelf materials and excellent machining and tolerance control. But you will need high base rings.

I don't see the advantage of high capacity mags. I have 6 mags and my gun is tuned to run those 6 before it needs aired back up. I prefer to keep my scope low and as close to the barrel as possible.

It’s just one of those things. You can’t expect to get these features for 349 and there not be QC control issues. Mine still has a reg that creeps a bit. 20 FPS spike but even that shot POI isn’t that different out to 45 yards and the gun does shoot awesome. I’ve been ragging on the gun but it does shoot very accurately. I can go from zero HS and shoot 14.3 at 890 to 3 turns on the HS and be shooting 19 gr pellet 850-860. Pretty darn versatile. Eventually there will be a really good regulator available and this gun will be worth spending the money on that upgrade.

I agree QC issues and all its a keeper. I still haven't boxed mine up to send back yet. I will Monday, but I'm having a ton of fun shooting it. It is extremely accurate, and like you said versatile. I can turn the HS all the way out and.its pretty quiet and docile. When I crank it down, it hammers pretty hard. My reg is at 2200 now, so I'm sure I can get some more fpe out of it. I hope the next one is leak free.

Congrats .i may have to add the .25 as well. I have the wood stock .22 and it's been perfect so far. No problems like the often mentioned reg creep or any leaking . Very happy with it considering the price. Definitely has made me think about another in .25.

I am glad to see you folks still like your Avengers since I'm about to dip my big toe in the PCP ocean. The $300 offerings are a bit confusing, most every review on YT claims this is the one! So how am I to know unless I read real world (you guys) opinions, experiences and fixes. Thank you all.
I am hoping for a 4th of July sale but not holding my breath. I will put together a list and post it.

About a pound. Mine is definitely heavier than my friends, but feels alot nicer than the plastic. Worth it to me, but some might really like the light weight of the plastic. As far as buying a new one, do it. Just hope you get a good one as far as leaking goes. Buy it from somewhere you can exchange it if necessary, and you will be good to go. I haven't read any complaints in the accuracy department.

I read that, I was referring to brew bears comment. Did your gun arrive pressurized? Mine arrived completely empty, and had a slow leak. It seems most people get them pressurized.

NOE has the bullet molds that Wayne likes in stock. I just checked the website today and ordered one. Now I need all the other stuff so I can cast up some pellets. JSBs and FXs still not in stock. Looking forward to not caring about what is in stock. I want to mess with my hammer spring setting to see if I can tighten groups a little at my new 2100 reg setting but I haven't done it because I'm starting to run low on pellets. Unlimited availability (if I spend a little time) will be nice.

I could not order with their website but I called them and did a phone order, that worked just fine.
