Bill,
Let me know how the trigger adjustments turn out. When I received mine it was almost as good as I could get it. I haven't tried to polish anything up yet. It has a bit to much travel in the second stage but still a good trigger. Before I changed my tune for slugs I was using the fx 18gr reg at 1800 and 3ish turns in on the hammer around 850fps and was getting 80 shots before falling of the reg. Edward... is your gun .25 or .22?

My trigger, in my opinion, is not any problem at all the way it is but, if I can just take up a bit of that first stage pull length I would consider it close to perfect for my liking. I may dab a bit of moly in there but, I don't feel any drag or grittiness.
I'm more of a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda guy.

I adjust the pull weight on the trigger lower... it = less movement of the gun , plus I tightened up all the screws ,after that the .25 Avenger that I have went from 1 inch group at 50 yards to tearing a ragged hole out of a dime size circle ... less pull weight equals light smooth trigger for that precision accuracy that have now , the gun is capable ,and as another member on here has stated his .22 is hanging right with his fx impact out 2 =100 yards ..

So, my chrono is giving me a headache but, I bought the package that was in the classifieds and it should be here next week.
But, I was able to gather enough info to be quite impressed.
I was able to record 3 mags (24) shots before it took a dump. Could be batteries but I got frustrated.
Anyways.... those 24 shots averaged 800 fps with a >< of about 10 fps. With a 27.8gr pellet. That is near 40 fpe.... correct me if I'm wrong.
I went on to shoot 8 full mags from 4k. The reg is set at 2100 psi and I had about 2200 psi left in the gun. The hammer spring is all the way out.
I believe I can set that reg up to 2300 - 2400, turn the hammer in a turn or so and get my 6 full mags with a 4k fill and get better than 40fpe.
The other amazing thing was.... while my main concentration was on the chrono, I can cover all those shots with a nickle at 35yds.
I know, I know.... pics or it didn't happen.... well, you'll just have to wait until tomorrow now won't ya?.... lol
Oh, and to beat all... these Benjis ain't even the gun's favorite pellets.

It's a 22. Don't get me wrong the triggers good just a little to much second stage travel before it breaks. Again 300 bucks, guess I shouldn't complain

I'm going to be getting one in 177. I'm hoping its will like the NSA 12 or 15gr. Don't know why lately I've been wanting a 177 slug gun???

Woke up this morning in a more positive mindset. Let Rambo out and fired up the coffee maker. As my normal Sunday morning ritual, I turned the TV on to watch 'How it's made".
I gathered up the chrono and the Windows OS laptop. I have an AA to 9V adapter for my chrono. It uses 6 AA batteries in place of 1 9V battery. They last much longer and just cost a couple bucks. I loaded the adapter up with 6 new Duracell copper tops and BINGO.... the chrono linked right up to the laptop via usb.
So, after my breakfast of coffee, bp pill and half a pack of smokes while the sun comes up, I'll load up my 6 mags, turn up the reg to 2300 - 2400 psi, turn the hammer spring in one turn and fill the gun to 4k.
First run will be over the chrono. Next I want to run 6 full mags and see how small I can make the single ragged hole at 35yds. That should be fun.

Well, there we go...
6 mags on a 4k fill reg set at 2400 - 2500 and HS at 1 full turn in.
I think I'll lower that reg just a tad. That should give better control over those last 4 or 5 shots.
Also, if we eliminate the first 799 shot, the ES and SD will tighten up.
Next up, accuracy over 6 mags.

Dang - I have about $900 total into my .25 Synrod that I got for less than $300 when Cabelas had that killer sale way back when. I'm really happy with it but Randy at RL has a shipment of Avengers inbound and I'm going to get both a .22 and a .25 based on the great experiences you guys are having with yours! Now to sell my Regal, Maximus, and Fortitude...

3" targets at 35 yds off the bipod.
1 mag in each target (8 shots)
POA center of red dot.
Stick a fork in this one baby, it's right where I want it.

Well, maybe a couple clicks to the right on the windage...

Next I need to clear a swath through the cane pole patch so I can get out to 50 - 60 yds.
I ordered a telescoping electric chainsaw to reach in there and cut them bu, the order got cancelled and a refund sent to me.
I ain't going in those cane poles blind. I've seen too many scetchy critters going in and out of there.

That is a low area on our property. Water pools when is rains and takes a day or so to soak in. Tree confirmed varieties of venomous snakes right here in the yard..... yeah, I ain't going in there.

Bill, nice shooting!!! So I decided to revisit my trigger today. Apparently the day I set it up I didn't know the difference between clockwise and counter clockwise

I had it at the heaviest pull weight. Much much much better now!!! I blame the beer....

I was sampling some of my .25 pellets and found what I think is the best I have on hand.
Those Hatsan Vortex Strike 24.7 domes cut those Benji groups in half.
Looking forward to stretching them out there once I clear a lane.

Bill I guess I must be confused or doing something differently, but your .25 is doing more than my .22 that's set at lower specs!
