they have a few of them back in stock. hunter, slugs, wadcutters, and the magnums if i recall. i just got a brass 2 cavity 249-39-rf e6 to try out.

Dan I cast up some from my 249-39-RF mold this morning, I did go to the woods after and they're shooting decent from my Avenger however I didn't bother to adjust my scope because it's tuned for the Hunters right now.  Sometime I'll turn the gun back up and see how they really do when being pushed up close to 900fps.  First I'll do a chrony test to get them up there to about max for the gun and see how well they really shoot.

nice. i did see you had that mold. gonna see how my gauntlet does with them. worst case it don't like them or i can get the accuracy out of them and i sell the mold off. figure it can't hurt to try it as i been wanting to really try slugs but the price per ### is a bit much when i haven't found anything it cares for too much. the AVS's new .2503" slugs did pretty decent and i tried the 38 gr ones seem to be the best, and the .249" 26.8's NSA's were decent. so with any luck these will do well. hoping it drops on spec, and i don't need to get into a sizer system for them.
will definitely have to turn the gun back up from my measly 1700 psi reg pressure, at least with casting my own it'll be a bit cheaper and easier to dial in for them.

Yep I bought a.25 cal mag hunter alu mold yesterday. Been waiting for the.25 mag hunters for awhile. Don't know why, but something told me to check the 25 molds on NOE and will dare it was.👍👍

Which mold did you go for?  I just cast some from my new 249-39-RF-E6 4 mold.  I haven't tested any yet.  I should be receiving a couple of new barrels for these and the other new pellet mold today.  Fingers are crossed that I can get them to shoot straight.  I only had like a 43 grain spread on these new slug castings.

i got the same mold. .249-39-rf-e6. Hopping like crazy that i can get them working with my 1:20 twist on my gauntlet. Barrel has been worked and have no issue trying to chamber AVS .2503" dia. slugs that are .406" long at 38 gr, and ones that are .365" long at 32 gr. they were my best performers, and had ok luck with NSA 26.8 gr .249" dia. guess testing will be the true tell on if this mold will work. May have to come up with a way to increase the diameter, then get a sizer setup to bring them back to where the barrel wants them.
really wish i could get a different barrel adapted to the gun to see if i can get it to be a true laser.

These are coming out at .2495.  I have sent some of them through the NOE .249 busing, but not much is removed.  I can barely get them through my STX barrel though by hand.  They will be tested in my non-choked Marauder and a STX and STX Superior liner.

My switch on my PID controller fried.  Waiting on a US version toggle switch to cast more...

i think my mold is buggered. just my luck. mold haves wont close flat with hollow point pins in place. one side is way higher in the slot than the other. GRRRRRRRRRR. pull pins mold closes flat. cleaning it to see if i can find a burr of something that isn't allowing the pin to ride correctly.

edit...
it seems to be the pin closest to the sprue plate pivot pin, the pin closest to you when holding the handles. its off just enough to cause it to wiggle slightly and, not close flush. no burr to be found anywhere. swapping pins doesn't help. wonder if it could be lapped in if that would fix it.

i think i got it working properly now. had do go outside the norm for an NOE mold. gonna do a test run tonight to verify.

Mine arrived today, warmed it up in the toaster oven once so far.
I have a little casting booth set up in the garage. Mounted a range hood with squirrel cage blower to exhaust smoke and fumes. A couple pieces of osb board, from the hood to the bench top make the sides.
Going to wait for cooler weather to get casting.
To hot right now to wear safe casting clothing.

Just Emailed Al asking if my order really did go through. My card was charged for it? Usually I get any mould I order from Al in about 4 days and today is the 5th day but only the 3rd working day. Oh well, when it gets here it gets here.

Ran my mold test tonight. All appears to be kosher with the mold now. Did a small run at my 850°F pellet setting. Was getting a lot that wanted to hold on to the front hp pin. Dropped lead down to 800°F and things went smoother. 2-1/2 hour Casting run got me 165 from the 850 temp and 275 from the 800 temp. These .249-39-rf cast up so fast and easily.
Now hopefully they'll perform well for me. Got to figure out a lube for them as well possibly. I'll measure and weight check them tomorrow.

Glad you got your mold worked out.  They definitely need going over and adjusting before first use as they don't come ready to cast.  Mine came near perfect, except for needing the pins adjusted.  I could not get mine to open it was so tightly made, which I really like.  Pressure pouring with this one is not an issue.

They are really easy to cast !!!  I have had a few try to stick on the pins at 825°.  I don't let those stop production or hold me back.  I run the mold back through the melt skipping those and they typically will fall off on the next run or so.  Pins got too cold I assume.

I got my two new barrels in yesterday, so I'll be trying these out soon.
