Ok I would, so I could sell the HILL and buy a few Mophorns
Try a tear down and rebuild. Don't forget to lube what needs to be lubed. My NiteOwl pump had the same problem. I tried to rebuild it, but probably didn't do it right. I already had a Yong Heng, so I left it as a parts pump and ordered another Chinese pump...Estink.
So my Umarex Origin kit w/pump arrived today(!). I assembled the pump and plugged the probe into the Origin's fill port but the pump won't go past about 800 psi.Just for some background I have had two hand pumps and used several others in the past back in the mid-90's, so I am familiar with them and the effort and sweat required. But this brand new "Umarex" hand pump does not look like the ones in all the Umarex ad pictures and reviews with the round base, it has an angular black base. In fact other than the big "UX" printed on the base, it looks suspiciously like the "Mophorn" (who thinks of these names?) Chinese pump on Amazon. But it evokes images of either a mop laying on the floor next to a Viking horn, or a Vietnamese food addict's mantra. So the issue is this - it pumps up and down easily enough at the start until I get to about 600-800 psi and then, the pump handle will not pull upwards through its full intake stroke. And when I try pushing down anyway it feels like a tiny bit of air is still being compressed right at the very end. But on the upstroke again, it will not pull back up. Maybe about halfway. Now bear in mind I am standing with both feet on the metal footplate with all my weight (about 175 lbs) and heaving and ho'ing trying to jerk the handle back up even a bit past halfway, but it pulls up against this great and *rubbery* resistance wall, as though the intake hole is Now blocked. Mind you, it was intaking just fine on the way to this pressure "wall" that I am hitting, right in the high hundreds of psi. By the way it came with a small bottle of lube which I generously applied, because the inner pump shaft was completely clean and dry out of the box which tells me it may not have even been tested at the factory. At least not in the way a normal human would. So I have an e-mail in to Pyramyd tonight and hopefully they get back to me tomorrow, but meanwhile -- I CANNOT SHOOT MY NEW GUN!!! And even if they resolve it by sending me a new pump or something, I still can't shoot my first (in my reborn airgun life) PCP until then!So I figure I'm just gonna bite the bullet and order a compressor from Amazon. It might even get here before the new replacement hand pump does. And that way, I can justify buying another PCP... But meanwhile does anyone have any ideas on what might be happening and what to check for, maybe?Signed, Soon-To-Be new HPA compressor owner...

Charlie, I think getting a compressor is still the way to go and to have a hand pump as back up!

I've encountered this a few times with my pumps. Usually it's the check valve, take it out, clean it and reassemble.
Don't count on PA to respond anytime soon, it took 9 days to get a response when I contacted them and I've heard they're even farther behind now. That's not to say they won't resolve the issue because they do have great customer service, but they are estimating 10-15 days for a response.
Which compressor did you decide on?If you went for the Xisico then be sure to get it from WES at https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/jts-gx-e-cs3-compressor/Those are the re-engineered ones from Travis and Wes that are either oil or grease.
Follow this link to other Nevada shooters and maybe they can give her a jump start and get some lead downrange...https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?board=80.0If you were here I'd fill it for you!
