Got home from work and whipped out the "Honey-Do" list.
Now onto the important stuff.
Kratos fill is exactly where I left it yeasterday. So either it was the "standard" Crosman PCP fill OR it is a very slow leak. Time will tell.
It's stock completely absorbed the oil. Which to me is a good thing. At least I know there is SOMETHING there to deter my grubby paw prints.
I cleaned the barrel with 3 pulls of a Goo-Gone whetted patch followed by 6 dry patches to come out clean. (all with the gun upside down)
Now to figure out these magazines.... Kinda odd to load, I don't know if is the standard for Kral or something new.
The Xisico Sentry's were simple. These, I had to RTFB but now is kinda makes sense.

Now to scope it.
Decent "test" Kruger 3-9x32 AO mildot... "check"
Set of Picatinny scope mounts... "check"
High mounts to clear the Magazine... OH SNAP!!!

Off to the local gun store I go... Maybe he has a nice deal an a good scope while I am there.

I still haven’t gotten around to cleaning the barrel and it’s still stacking pellets! At this point I’m afraid if I clean it I’ll screw something up!!! I did give the HS adjuster one dull turn in, jumped my average FPS from 870 something to 901! That seems to be the sweet spot for the 18.13 grain JSBs!

Sadly the LGS was closed, and Rural King had no Mounts in stock...NONE!.
I was willing to buy a scope to to get the Picatinny mounts and use the scope on SOMETHING... but alas, only ones in stock came with low mounts.
Walmart can "Vacuum" a big one in my book now so I didn't even go there.
So now I am looking for a set of High mounts online.
Re-inventorying what I have mounted on other guns, the Beeman AR2078-B is scoped for summer long distance.... But it's home is 10M with peep sights.
BOOM!
My sweet BSA "Cats-eye" 4-16X44 side focus AO.. How did I forget?
I am thinking this might be a nice, rock solid, clear glass,AND aesthetically pleasing, scope for this gun.
BUT I still need those darn HIGH mount Picatinny rings to clear the magazine!!!

Tonight after work I "beat feet" to the LGS before they closed.
Picked up a pair of Leopold offset high mount rings. Came home and swapped scopes.
Now the Kratos is wearing the BSA "Cats-eye" 4-16X44 side focus.
So time to shoot.
DANG! such an easy çombo to zero in!
I was low on 18g pellets so I started with JSB 15's at 10 yards on lowest power setting.
Then out to 30y. I turned the power up to mid way.
Here is the last full 12 round mag of JSB 15.89 at 30 yards set on mid power.

Now we want crony numbers, what 20 of the cheapest pellets shoot hole in hole accuracy, and if say we had elephants eating our lettuce out of our grocery bags , would this make them go away

50y at high power I now expect this gun will be walk in the park.
Dare I say...Might just improve my NUAH status!

That will be interesting.
My guess... Close to 100 from a 3000 fill.
But time will tell.

That new rifle looks awesome Scott. That mag does sit up above the breech pretty high from the looks of the picture. I'll be watching this thread as you have more time to shoot and test it out.

The only thing I don't like about them is the bottle. Bottle guns are almost always hideously ugly IMO anyway.

IDK why nobody has ever made an air tank inside the butt stock? Could put the gauge and fill right under the butt stock pad. I don't mean a bottle with a stock end, but a triangular air tank shaped like an actual rifle stock. There's no reason you couldn't, and I imaibne you could get at least as much volume as in many standard cylinders.

Obviously for high shot count there will always be a place for bottle guns, but I like the idea of the air being inside the stock and out of sight.

The Artemis (SPA) M30 is an interesting design, they hide the air in the shroud! Looks more like a shotgun to me though.

I just think the Kratos is so much uglier for that bottle, because it's an otherwise beautiful gun, with that horrid bottle sticking out!

I mean, it's a fine looking piece of wood and steel, except that bottle!

That Artemis is built like the Girradoni. They had buttstock tanks as well.

That's some good shooting there! Looks like a keeper to me.

I kinda like the looks of this one. I've had to warm up to bottle guns, I admit, but I have.

Now to learn to like bull pups. I do and I don't. Depends on the day. Still I want one 😉
