Em-Ge Model 100 Made in Germany

I bought this pistol from Airguns of Arizona, it was listed as not a working model. After receiving it I took it out back and it would cock and fire but did not have enough pressure to get a pellet out of the barrel. Did the tissue test and found most of the air escaping the breech. Took out the breech seal and shimmed it. It would at least push a pellet out weakly. This morning I had the chronograph out and tested the pistol. It was shooting around 250 fps.
I noticed that the barrel was opening up some after I had cocked and loaded the pistol. If I held the barrel up it would shoot at 350 fps or better. Took the pistol to the garage and remove the small keeper screw at the barrel pivot. I was able to get about a quarter of a turn on the main pivot screw. Replaced the small screw and went back outside to test.
Stiffer cocking but it stays in place after being returned to battery. Shot it 10 or 12 times, it seems to be in good working order at this point. Went back to the garage and took the grip off. The grip is one piece plastic that has seam that gives it the appearance of being two pieces. It looked like it had a thin film of glue or something between the grip and spring tube. I cleaned it off with some Balistol and bronze wool.
Now I just need to sort out the missing rear sight.
Not much information on this model that has come up so far. Any information appreciated.
Thanks,
Pat

45Flint, thanks for the information. The only other bits I got were pistols for sale in Germany and the UK. Seem to do alright in the marketplace.
