These look like the basic .22 LR rimfire projectile:

There are other Artemis pellet options that look like good value for money, assuming they are ordered along with an airgun; else the shipping charges render the deal moot.  That said, I have no idea about how well any of these pellets shoot.

Those are the RWS airgun slug, available in the Netherlands for many years, I have a few hundred of them.... They are the standard bullet used for 100 M shooting in rifles such as the Sinner....



They shoot like this in a good rifle....



That target was shot in Europe, at 100M, outside, tethered.... Group size is 17mm (0.67")....

Perhaps those .22 RWS bullets are not suited to typical airgun barrels, but they may be of interest to the people on this forum making their own airguns, using .224 centerfire barrels.  Those are available in twists from 1:14 to 1:7.

One might state that a typical .22 rimfire barrel, .222 groove diameter with a 1:16 twist would be even better.  That is, if you have a long taper in the leade, and a loading method that does not distort the projectile base.

You are correct, they are too large for typical airgun barrels.... The guys in Europe are running 14-15" twist .224" barrels for that bullet.... It can work in a 16", but they seem to prefer slightly faster.... That bullet is 0.224" diameter, slightly larger than the RWS .22 rimfire bullets (likely why it is heavier)....

Those bullets are so close to standard 40 grain .22 rimfire, why make something slightly longer and heavier?

The GECO .22 LR bullets I have measured are .224" in diameter.   I believe they are made by RWS.

I suspect that the RWS bullets are exactly that.... .22LR bullets repurposed for airgun use.... I have no idea why they weigh 41.4 gr. while a .22LR bullet is supposed to weigh 40 gr.... Perhaps the "supposed to weigh 40 gr." is inaccurate in the case of the .22 LR RWS target bullets?.... or maybe they are not pure lead, but a slightly lighter alloy?....

Yes, the Sinner is designed to be tethered for benchrest use.... and has been around for many years now....
