For the longest time, I didn't know where this rifle was leaking when fired. I confirmed that it was not past the bolt but could feel it on my face and hand. The gun shot weaker than my other two 114s so I shot them and left this one in the closet. One day I realized the leak was at the breech/tube solder joint, both sides. I learned about the product Loc-Tite 380 in a prior post about Sheridan solder repairs. Folded some fine sandpaper around a knife blade and worked the finish down to bare brass on the joint. Cleaned with alcohol and applied a fine bead, a touch extra where I saw it seeping into the joint. Gave it a day to cure, problem solved. Picked up 40-50 fps with Crosman pellets and the power adjuster backed out 6 turns. Very happy with it, thanks to all for the Loc-Tite tip.
