Bob those Hunter Magnum's are more accurate at 70 yards than the Hunters are for sure. They're a longer pellet.

Keith, I think Wayne is saying he prefers the .22 cal Magnums over the Hunters.... You need a lot of power to utilize the .30 cal Magnums, and the .30 cal Hunters are a great pellet, in either the lightest or medium weight versions.... Bob
trigger,i'm pretty sure that they must come with the swappable pins. i know my .250-27-rf cc3 has 4 sets of pins total on my hunter mold.
Keith I see by your signature that you have 30 cal FX and my guess is that the "Hunter" design will more than likely shoot good from that gun. They're very accurate in my .22's and .25's doing in the mid to high 800fps range, I think the "Magnum Hunter's" are a pellet that's going to work good in the low to mid 900fps range and keep a flat trajectory. My 25 cal hunters (26g) shoot very comparable to how the JSB25.39g shoot. One thing for sure about casting your own is you can "FIRE" the pellet vendor's for good. It's been well over two years since I've payed for pellets or slugs and am loving it. Buying pure lead is a heck of a lot cheaper than buying commercial pellets or slugs and you never have to be concerned as to whether or not you can get them.
For the life of me I do not know why I am posting here, just another Rabbit-hole to fall into.Oh wait a minute...NOW I remember...It's Wayne's fault.
