I didn't see anything about how far you were shooting when you hunt.  If you hunt around the 25yard distance, I can recommend the Beeman Crow Magnums for birds, squirrels, rats, etc.  Yes, they aren't cheap...but once you see the expansion, you'll be happy.Another choice would be for longer shooting, over 25yards;  JSB Exacts.  Good Luck to you!

I'm new to airguns myself, just got the Airmaster 77 (Crosman 2100 clone) and will be experimenting with the Crosman Premier Hollow Points later this week. It appears those pellets are recommended by many folks for a lot of air rifles.

Yes, better pellet will help. Personally, I'd steer clear of pointed pellets. Round or hollow points generally group better at longer distances. You might even start with Crosman Premier's that can be found at many chain sporting goods stores. That said, before you order anything, read up on the "Artillery Hold". Spring guns, especially powerfull ones can be VERY sensitive to how you hold them. Shoot a few dozen rounds trying this hold and I'll bet your groups improve.

I've been doing LOTS of shooting lately and the best pellets for accuracy and hunting have been round noised. There are many that are round so you may want to see which brands better fit your gun.

I ordered some H&N FTT as long as some Beeman Crow mags. They like my gun And sampak it's a Proline silverado! I like it tho
