Pyramyd Air Pellet Shipping

I've always been very impressed with Pyramyd Air's packaging when shipping pellets. I'm sure most everyone here is familiar with the nice foam cutouts that are used. Today I received an order for 12 tins. Ten of the tins were in a MFR sleeve and nicely wrapped in paper and plastic wrap, but without any additional padding. They were shipped in a large loose box with essentially no padding, just a little paper. Fortunately none of the tins looked damaged. But, just not the packaging I was expecting. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered a full sleeve before, so maybe this is how they ship sleeves of 10?

It could be with the increase in orders they ran out of their usual packaging and can't get replacements.
I'm remodeling our masterbath and having difficulty finding supplies. I had to travel quite a distance to several stores to find matching fixtures. All the usual stores and supply houses are low or out of stock.

Don't place an order for more than 4 tins at a time from Pyramyd Air... or they're likely to arrive damaged.
After getting a shipment of 7 tins packed like that with a couple tins totally unusable and a couple more with damaged pellets throughout the tin I've learned to order only 4 at one time. If you need more just place another order a day later. They still pack 4 in the little boxes with the great foam surrounds that always arrive perfect.
The people that handle the shipping aren't prepared for how heavy packages of pellets are and abuse them. Plus, from multiple posts it's clear PA and perhaps others don't respect the weight as well, and don't pack them correctly. At all. Pellets are lead after all and several tins get heavy and ruin most packing materials.
Also, always order in multiples of 4 from PA... that way you always get the "free" one. I didn't think of that when placing an order and after figuring it out I'd have paid less for more if I'd just ordered one more.

Similar situation here. I ordered 16 tins. Half came protected by the usual foam sleeves. The other half were just put into white plastic bags which offered virtually no protection. As you might expect there were some dinged tins. Fortunately no so bad though that I expect to lose too many pellets, relative to the size of the order. If it came down to deciding on whether to hold up my order until they had more foam, or accept the risk of losing a few dozen pellets and ship it quickly... I had my order in 4 days. For me; they made the right call...
