Daystate Huntsman REgal BUTT STOCK REMOVAL

Hello members
I'm wondering if anyone of you has experience removing the butt pad from a Daystate Huntsman Regal
Without damaging it in any way, as it would need to be put back  in place after a CSC sling mount is installed

The factory parts schematic indicates 2 screws hidden under the rubber exterior
Locating those could be an issue.
I've also heard (unverified) that the butt pad is very well glued to the stock

Any experienced assistance appreciated, please

Hi Ed,

I removed the butt pad on my Regal to install a Rowan Adjustable buttpad.  The screws were very well hidden and I had to probe around with a small Philips screwdriver to find the holes.  Once I did, I used a larger Philips screwdriver, lightly coated in dish soap, to remove the 2 screws.  Be very careful not to strip the heads as the screws may be very tight.  The buttpad was NOT glued on my stock.

I had the exact same experience on my Air Ranger when installing the Rowan Adjustable pad.  I know it is not a Regal, but it is the same manufacturer . . . and it was done the same way.

Do either of you recall whether the screws were actually  Phillips head or could they have been PosiDriv? (Phillips with 4 extra small points)
Not that it makes a huge bit of difference when working blind,

IIRC they were just wood screws with a standard Philips head.
