Maintenance in pcp

Hi guys!!
Since i started to play with pcp's,  the only platform i have use is the qb..
 I'm ready to buy something different  with less maintenance

Regardless of price and brand, what is your take on the most  durable and maintenance free rifle out there..
Tha qb were aviable at my local CANADIAN TIRE and easy to acces...

For a while now i do business  with Wesley at AIRGUNANDARCHERY and pleased with his service...
If someone know a solid carefree rifle that  Wesley has in stock,  let me know..

Most PCPs don't really need much maintenance at all.

Since i got it regged at 1500psi, it pop seal in the tubeevery 3 or 4 month and the probe seal too.

Well if the things you have done are acceptable to the gun then to me I would consider it was a poorly designed (coming from someone who know nothing about that gun).

I operate my FX Crown with-in the parameters of the gun and have had no issues in two years that were not user errors.

The Xisico Sentry is a cousin of the Qb line..
I wonder if they put different o-ring..

FX and Daystate are great high quality PCP’s.

Fx is a beaty but from what i read from different  user of this forum, you have to get  more precision and skill to work on them..

Due to it's complexity, it is not on my list but it is a rifle that i like however..

 That is one reason my 2nd PCP was an AirForce, not much can go wrong and easy maintenance, First PCP was a Sam Yang Recluse, another basic design, not as easy to work on as an Air Force .
 Both have been trouble free for years, I did have an air gauge go bad on my Escape, and Air Force sent a new one free and fast, good warranty.

I think i will get my choice on the Condor SS

I have watch a reverse tube kit on Alie Express a couple years back that would  make it easier to shoot..

Most PCPs don't really need much maintenance at all.

Practical nothing - not leaking, nothing to do really.   A drop of silicon oil on probe seal and the like.

If you're leaning towards CondorSS then also get the Talon Tunes tank adapter. It drops the tank down 1' (2.54cm) AND you can also simultaneosly rotate the adapter to move the tank left or right. I'm NOT in any way associated with that company but I do own the tank adapter.

You seem to be asking about two different things - low or no maintenance required, and easy to work on.  If you are going to be working on it and modifying things, you will probably drive up the required maintenance as well.  Just the nature of things.

For low/no maintenance, I'll attest to the Daystate.  I have a 2011 Air Ranger that has never needed anything done to it.  The only time it was ever degassed was to swap the 0.5L aluminum tank for a CF for weight reduction (something that by definition has increased the required maintenance, as it will eventually have to be replaced).  I have been in the hammer end of the tube to tune with shims, and made a fully internal SSG for it, but that is it.  I never do anything with it, other than shoot a pellet exactly where I want it to land - almost boringly perfect.

On the other hand, I have several Marauders that have not been maintenance free, but I take them apart and try different things with them so often it does not much matter.  They are good guns, but not perfect, and thus need some care but they are so simple it is no issue.  They are no where near as accurate as the Daystate, but I have fun with them (and in truth their accuracy is more than good enough for everything but competition).

Love them both for different reasons - I like to tinker, and the M-rods cover that, and I like great quality and rock solid performance and the Daystate covers that.

Based on your follow up posts, it seems like you are looking for a reliable platform with which to play.  I have not owned any Air Force rifles, but in terms of quality and ability to be worked on they seem very good. I am thinking about getting an Edge though . . .

Look at it this way. A PCP is a machine, that's made up of several parts and multiple seals. One or the other will eventually fail and render the entire unit non functional.
What you want to do is start looking at guns that use as few seals to hold hpa and discharge a charge of air, and has as few moving parts.

As you mentionned,  Airforce has the least seals in the industry..
QB line is not complicated rifle to work on,but, as i dont have the chance to try anything different  than rubber o-ring  that i can buy locally at the hydraulick shop i decide to go with different  platform..

If i dont mistake, the Airforce has7 o-ring  to make it operationnal and 3 of them are sitting in the tank..

Most hatsans have removeable air cylinders and if it leaks you do not have to take the whole gun apart to fix it. Theyre easy to work on with many spare parts available
