Found this is the most fun way to do it, and the second most easiest way. First easiest way is to collect them off the roosts at night, hang them upside down, and pelleting them to the head. But its miserable cleaning them in the dark while being mobbed my mosquitoes.

An interesting video Travis. Thanks for posting it. I had considered using my Crosman 2100 for culling quail. My wife and I are homesteading a small piece of land in N Florida. We have decided to start raising poultry. I will PM you regarding your "Cracker" chickens.

Hi Travis 1
Great Video sir. Very interesting. That Hatsan Bullboss with your Day/Night ATN scope looks like a sweet setup.

I have a chicken coop and four hens. Also one old timer wild rooster we call grampa, because he's been around forever. But, we get a steady stream of wild hens and rooster here in the Puna District on the big island of Hawaii. Yes, exactly where hurricane Douglas is going to hit this weekend.
When possible, I catch the wild chickens and give them away. When not possible, I shoot them. Otherwise we would be swimming in chickens on our acre. I've been using my Daisy 880 with old Leapers 4x30 AO scope. I use RWS Basic wadcutter pellets and 8 pumps. I find this pretty devastating on them to maybe 12-15 yards. The gun stays zero'd at 7 yards for night ratting when they go into our coop. My shots have been either to the back of the head, or 3/4 shots to the rear of the head. From watching YouTube videos, it seems that the Basics should be at about 600-640 fps from the muzzle, and it does it. A Crosman 2100 should do equally well. I hold about a bit under at 10 yards or more, as it shoots about 3/4" high, with the 7 yard zero.
For "thrifty" shooters, an 880 runs, in a non Covid-19 world, maybe $35.00. Right now? More like $95.00.
