What method(s) or source(s) do you use to refill your air rifle or air tanks?

6000 PSI Nitrogen?

5500 PSI SCBA?

4500 PSI SCBA?

SCUBA tank?

Vendor's compressor? (e.g. Dive shop, Paintball supply store or field, fire extinguisher store. Could also be local fire department as I have read people claim they will refill SCBA tanks)

Home compressor 5000 PSI or greater.

home 4500 PSI compressor? (Yong Heng, etc.)

home compressor running off car battery?

Shop compressor + separate compressor (e.g. Shoebox compressor)

4 stage hand pump? (either manually or automated)

3 stage hand pump? (either manually or automated)

Shop compressor + 3 or 4 stage hand pump? (either manually or automated)

I’m a newbie using a 3 stage Hill pump. Other than buying a compressor, there are no commercial tank fill options in my area. I’m curious what others are using.

I'm also rather new to PCPs, but I own a Tuxing 4500 psi 110 volts home compressor. Perfect for filling my pistol or rifle directly, or to refill my 3 liters or 48 cu in bottles. I had it for over a year, no problems so far.

I use my shoebox F10. Connect it up,turn it on and it turns off when my 66 cuft scba tank is full. I've got a Yong hung clone as a backup.

Started out with a Chinese hand pump. Used it to pump my Urban for a year or so. Wasn't all that bad. Then I got a Nova Liberty (200 cc, 300 bar fill) and hand pumping got old quick. Purchased a used 2008 Draeger tank from eBay for 100 dollars or so, shipped. Got it hydro'd for free (computer system was sluggish while I was attempting to pay) at local dive shop and only have to pay $4 (sometimes even $2) for top offs. Luckily, the dive shop is only 5 minutes from my home. Don't think I'll be hand pumping again.

Yong Heng and Benjamin hand pump. I did make a contraption for the hand pump that will give me about a 2 1/2 to one advantage so I don't have to pump as hard. Old geezer. Work smarter, not harder.

I started with a 4500PSI SCBA to fill my guns and at that time I had a paintball field right down the road that I would go and volunteer my time helping them out on the weekends so my air was free. Eventually, I added SCUBA tanks and more SCBA tanks until the field shut down and I found myself searching for a place to fill the tanks. A friend on here was nice enough to give me a shoebox that did the job but was slow and it drove the Mrs crazy every time the pancake compressor kicked on. I ended up going with a benji hand pump for awhile until I could afford a decent dive compressor. Now, after 8 years, I fill my own tanks quickly with "breathable" air, and fill up tanks for anyone in the area that needs it with my Nuvair MCH-6 Gas powered 4 stage (coltri) compressor that takes an 88CF tank from 2800-4500psi in about 7 minutes.

That being said, there is no fill like a quick tank fill for your gun.

AV Nomad II portable compressor, power from 110 source or 12Vdc, I have only used 12Vdc myself.
3k Hand Pump
two bottles, guppy & 98ci
Huma-Air Externally Adjustable Inline PCP Regulator With Integrated Fillset for tethering gun to bottle
Sports Chalet was my go-to for guppy bottle fill until they closed their doors. My local Fire dept didn't want to fill my tanks.
So I picked up an AV compressor when I bought the big-bore AG and have not looked back since.

Thanks. I think my favorite part about it is that I can take it anywhere(within reason) and not need any electrical source to run it.

Thanks. I think my favorite part about it is that I can take it anywhere(within reason) and not need any electrical source to run it.

The Nuvair MCH-6 Gas powered doesn't really weight that much more than the AV HPA 4500 PSI compressor and as you said, no electrical power required. Now I am super jealous

I have a 74 cu. ft. tank that I have filled by the airgun shop. Contemplating either buying a compressor ($1500-$2000) or switch over to nitrogen.

Yong heng 110 volt 4500 psi compressor. Using direct fill to fill my gauntlet bottles. Have both the 13 cu in, and a monster .38 liter bottle currently mounted.

Daystate gas compressor with drying filters. I fill my scba bottle with it or take it along on camping hunting trips.
