A little help needed with a 2240

I am having trouble with air leaking around the loading port when the gun is fired. I have tried three different bolts and o-rings.
The bolt stays closed when fired, no kick back and it only leaks when firing a pellet. When I dry fire it there is no leaking. I have had this gun apart quit a few times so I am thinking that the transfer port seal may be the problem or is this normal?

I don't have tons of experience, but when my transfer port wasn't lined up right it did do that very thing....

There's nothing too special about transfer ports though, no o-ring even, just a little piece of metal has to go in right way up.

Sorry there's a rubber seal between the valve and transfer port, #15 in the EVP, part# 130-036, face seal.

I like to coat this seal with silicone oil before assembly, it helps it to ''settle''. Also don't forget, short end of the TP goes on the rubber seal, long tapered end in barrel (you see it on the diagram).

  Make sure when you're assembling your barrel/breech that the "long end" of the steel port is toward the barrel.
Small end sits in the O ring.

I flipped the seal over and it did the trick for now. I have some new ones on order.
