I am talking with the good folks at AOA and I am probably going to get a rws 56 from them. I have called them many times to try to figure out what to get next. Since I have a rws 34p .22 and a rws 350 .22 I wanted a fixed barrell gun. I am awed by the force and accuracy of the 350. The recoil was pretty rough at first but after taking it apart and lubing everything up it is alot smoother. The recoil does hamper the accuracy but I am still putting them all in a 1" target at 30 yards! if I do my part. I am mostly shooting vermin so as long as I can make the kill at that range (I have made 75 yard shots with both guns) then that pleases me pretty much. So my question is does anybody have any input on the model rws 56? It is alot of money but it looks really cool and I have read nothing but good things about this rifle. All input is welcomed.

The 56 is a 54 with a new stock and muzzle brake. You will love it. Got a 54 in .22 and I must say the recoiless system is awesome. Unbelievably accurate. This gun can group pellets like a PCP.

I have TH56's in both .177 and .22. Great airguns built like tanks. I've tuned both of mine with vorteks and the .22 with an HMO piston. A few posts down you'll find a post of mine on the HMO install and its effect on them. The .177 prefers jsb's heavies while the .22 do great with crosman premiers and my favorite pellet: predators.

That thing is a beauty for sure. Like you said ive heard alot of good things about it. The only negative ive heard about the recoiless system is that it eats scopes. But then most mag spring guns do. Good luck and let us mnow what you think.

The RWS 56 sure is a beauty. I had a 54 and the recoilless system worked great, not too mention it was stupid accurate. You'll love it.

I bought a "like new" 22 56TH from the Yellow Forun, the owner sold it because it was to heavy for hunting. It is very heavy but a tac driver. I really really like the gun a lot, my other gun was a Gamo Varmint Hunter. I could never get a good group with the Gamo. It has been to hot to go outside this summer so I have been doing indoor shooting. I can shoot 13y at the office. Here is my 2nd target with the 56 with JSB Diablo 14's.

I have the ugly sister LOL, the 54 with William's peep an front globe, the gun's are heavy but truely shoot as well as my PCP gun's. The recoil/sled system is not hard to figure out so don't be afraid to "play" with it, I can now set a pellet on my rail(even the reciever) an fire it without it falling off after a bit of sled work, which make's me wonder why they are known as scope killer's? Must be in something I have not taken into consideration yet. The 56 sure is a pretty AG, you should really love it.
