Feinwerkbau 300 power spring? Anybody?

I noticed that Vortek has a spring for FWB 300 series rifles they call a power spring but in the description, it concludes with the statement OEM power. Has anyone used this spring and if so, what are your findings? The spring has zero reviews. Just curious as I値l be rebuilding a Daisy marked 300 for a friend. I致e used ARH parts in the past and will likely on this build.

I haven't needed to replace springs in either of my 300S' yet, but I have parts on-hand when the time comes.  One is an ARH "Arctic" spring.  31 coils checks, wire dia.1065 checks (Vortek's is a bit thicker at 2.8mm advertised), coil dia is 19.5mm (same as the Vortek) but OAL is 9.5", an inch longer than what the Vortek ad shows.

I've also got a dual spring kit from www.targets.ca - Coil dia is 20.2mm wire diameter is about the same as the ARH, but OAL is 8.75 when assembled w/spacer.  So, Vortek has the shortest overall length of the bunch.

The math says the arh 31x.1065 is the most grunt.

Mine has the OEM internals and I have never tinkered inside it and it still shoots 1 hole groups as long as I can hold them. 

Regarding re-springing and up-powering the FWB300, there was a thread about that sometime last year on this forum.  You might search for it to see what was there.  AS I recall, someone was trying to make a much higher power version.  NOT recommended!!!  Don't ruin a classic when there are plenty of others to play with.  My 54s are nearly 20fpe and shoot almost as accurately as my FWB.  Not quite but quite good enough.  The chipmunks don't live to complain anyway!!!

These guns were not designed to handle high power.  The engineering isn't there to absorb the extra forces.  I wish I still had this picture of a ruined 300s.  Someone put to heavy of a spring and the piston failed eventually when they were cocking it, it peeled the metal back where the lever connects in the piston sleeve.  Also the long term effects of the extra forces on the internals.

Some guns are just not designed for that.  Like taking a .22 LR and doubling the amount of power in the cartridge.  I wouldn't want to try that, I would just get a bigger gun.

Exactly. Just curious is all. I own several ten meter guns and I知 familiar with their limitations. I have a 300 with arctic spring and the rifle is very smooth. I知 just curious if anyone has compared the Vortek spring to the ARH spring. It痴 a bit shorter (less preload), and still gives OEM power.
  I just ordered seal, buffer, and spring from JM. Maybe  I値l get the Vortek spring next time I知 ordering something from them. It would be a good rainy day experiment. I知 surprised the Vortek has zero reviews.
