Crosman and Benjamin .22 cal pellets the same thing?

I read on here a while back that CPHP's and Benjamin .22 cal HP's are the same pellet, made in the same factory.  When I compared them side-by-side, they did look exactly the same.  However, it seems like the Benjamin's are a much tighter fit in the barrel than the CPHP's and shoot with far less fliers.

Is it possible that the Benjamin's are simply CPHP's with more Q/A management to justify the slightly higher price?  Thanks!

This has been brought up before and the sum of it is just what you have said. Crosman should bud in here and tell us. If Benjamins are the same with better quality control maybe that justifies the extra cost.

Maybe I just got a good tin of Benji's and a bad one of CPHP's, but once I burn through both tins, I'll try another tin of Benji's.  They're only $9/500 at Fleet Farm vs. $7/500 for the CPHP's at Walmart, and that extra $2 is well worth ending aggravating fliers.

I do keep records of what I shoot. I looked through past records and on average I do get better  hits with the Benji than I do the CPHP.  This is not just with one rifle but a number of them.
