It is made for the Mrod specifically, by a machinist in MT. This is called a Teryx stock.

That's crazy awesome.  I did a search on Teryx stock and found where to get it. 
Looks like I'd have to give up cigars for a month to be able to afford this stock.
How's the paint job and does the aluminum feel sturdy?

It's anodized, and is very solid. You can tell it was designed with one purpose in mind.

Cuban? That would cost me $600 a month for genuine Habanos.
My cigar budet is $300 a month.  I smoke 1 to 2 cigars a day.

I prefer pistol grips, and so does my fused wrist.

I hear you on the pistol grips. That one looks straight off an M16/AR15 too. They're MUCH easier to shoot from a rest, and a bit easier to shoot offhand too.

Thanks Steve, I've been waiting for someone to pull that stock and weigh it.  I loved my Mrod but it was just too heavy to lug through lots of very thick woods like we have here in Tennessee.  Its not too heavy to carry, don't get me wrong.  Just after a long day of trudging up and down hills that extra pound begins to be noticed. 

I wonder if one of our stock-makers could make a lightweight sporter stock out of poplar or another very light wood.  Cover it with bedliner and you might have a hunter with a different weight profile.  A black stock would work better for me in the woods as well.

Just some thoughts and thanks again for the post.

LOL, Didn't even notice where you are at Steve(have family on Marcos(?) Island down that way), O.K. then just for incase you need the stock for it's real intention, an have to toss body armour on while hunting .

Body armor is more like it. I'll be ready for an invasion from Cuba.
