My compressor has been idle for a couple months and yesterday I noticed a puddle of oil under the compressor. After I cleaned up the puddle i noticed that the oil was below the sight glass. So has anyone else had theirs leak when idle and perhaps from where it was leaking .

No but.... when I first got mine I couldn't see the oil in the sight. I pulled the plug and had to clean the sight off. While I had it off I notice a gasket.... yours could need tightened or replaced.

Mine has a wet spot around the site glass. It will not have a puddle under it but always a drop hanging.

mine sat for about 6-8 months. No puddles. There was a little drip forming underneath the sight glass, but no puddle.

Thanks guys I will check the oil plug and sight glass gaskets first thing before adding oil again

When I change the oil in mine I pull the front cover off and wipe out the inside of the compressor, make sure the seals are all seated correctly and tighten the bolts evenly.
