I bought a multi-shot breech setup for my Disco from Martin. It's not only a great product, but his customer service is superior. Even though he was in the process of evacuating his family for Hurricane Irene (I was unaware he was in the path) he took the time to reply to my email about my install issues and said he would call and walk me through it. THAT is service. Of course I appreciated his dedication but once I found out he was evacuating, I told him to get himself and his family taken care of. My BB gun would be here later!!!!
Martin is an exceptional person to deal with and the product offered is outstanding.

Well now, I have to revise my appraisal of Martin. He failed to ship my brass bolt I paid for. He promised to drop that in the mail and also promised to send me a full shroud for my problems. Two weeks went by and no shroud. In the meantime, we noticed the machining inside the breech was not right. Cocking very rough and was not aligned with breech of barrel. I have made 4-5 attempts over the last few weeks to contact Martin and my messages have gone unanswered. This leads me to believe what has been posted about him on Yellow BOI. I hate that too, my first dealings with him were superb and my item arrived quite quickly. Only problem is the item itself is defective and he will not reply to anyone's issues. Go figure....

Dave if you have a bad opinion,,then there's something wrong with this guy!I hope he mans up and get's it taken care of as there's nothing worse than buying something and then having quality issues with it.

Evidently from the posts on Yellow, these ARE the Cobra breeches. Martin is a former employee of CAG. Dunno...

I own two of the Cobra breeches and have never had any problems with either.You can see my Discovery carbine and my 2240 on the Cobra website on the first page if you look towards the bottom.Here's a few pics of mine.

Martin is a former employee of Cobra,If you notice the price difference in the two items,somebobody must be cutting corners.I'm very happy with my two guns.The 2240 carbine you see is .177 while the Discovery rifle is in .22.They work flawless for me and my friends.I will be picking up another 2240 repeater tomorrow and will post pics in the evening after work.

Yes, he was a former employee. And from the post on Yellow, the breech he is selling was made by the SAME machinest CAG uses.

Yes, I posted wanting contact info and probably posted a shining BOI because of the initial transaction. I need to check that one and revise it too. I just don't visit Yellow or post there much at all. Main reason I even have an account is for classifieds.

Thank goodness I did not post a good review of the deal on Yellow. Like I said, I don't visit there much anyway. There are others posting that they too are getting no contact from him and the parts seem to have problems. I have posted saying I need contact info also.

Always at least 2 sides to any story. I don't KNOW all the facts about it but from what I see and read, Martin use to be employed at CAG. CAG sells a multi shot breech. We (Gene and I) attempted to contact CAG about a breech and never received a reply. That lead me to look elsewhere for a multi shot breech for my Disco.
In looking around, someone pointed me to Martin's post on Yellow. I looked a the pictures and they were identical to CAG breech. When I contacted him, he responded immediately. I asked a few questions and then placed the order. Item arrived rather quickly with the exception of the brass bolt I ordered and paid for. I contacted him about this error and he responded immediately. I received my bolt within 5 days. He also promised to ship me a full shroud for my troubles. After two weeks of waiting, I sent a message asking about the shroud. But more importantly, we discovered how rough the cocking was and looked at the breech closer. The machining was not true and I attempted to contact Martin several times for assistance and my messages have yet to be reponded to. They did deliver because I did not receive a bounced notice.
In looking on Yellow, DaveCAG has posted that Martin was a former employee. He left CAG owing their machinist a lot of money. Putting two and two together it seems Martin either contracted the CAG machinest to make him a batch of multi shot breeches. Or he actually took a bunch of them when he left CAG, one or the other. Either way, these are the same breeches CAG sells. Martin has since disappeared and not returning messages. THAT'S the whole story from my dealings. Money spent and breech is not good quality. No response and I feel I was taken. No support after the sale. Buyer beware.

Sorry to hear all this I had an interest in that breech cuz I know my first pcp will be a disco... it could be since he is not responding to emails that he has maybe been arrested for stealing company property and/or designs.

Since you know his first and last name as well as his city and state you could do some checking to see he has a active warrant, or if he has been booked in the city or county jail. Its all a matter of public information and if you want an answer to weither or not he is simply avoid you or isn't responding due to the lack of freedom he might not have right now
