Fwb 65

Had some time to shoot the Fwb 65....Boy !!! It's a joy to shoot. I acquired it a few years back locally. A perfect backyard shooter for people worried about the neighbors.  I sent it off to David Slade soon after the purchase for a once over and to get it up to specs.

Not to much talk on this pistol...anybody else shootin one ??

My brother bought one in the early 80's, sametime I bought my 6G.
I never could get used to the side cocker.  Great gun though!
I agree, a quality pistol is a great plinker!

I used to lust after the 65 in the Beeman catalogs, but never got one

...did however wind up with its successor, an FWB 100 single stroke pneumatic.  I have yet to chrono mine, but IIRC the 100 is a bit hotter than the 65 and it certainly has a pretty sharp crack on discharge, louder than my HW 30S, sensitive neighbors might object.

Once shot a ten pellet string off a rest at 10m and got one slightly ragged hole... this pistol is *way* better than me!  Is the 65 the same?

Yeah...its accurate. The joy is the recoiless action. The top portion of the pistol slides rearward eliminating the recoil. I enjoy shooting the pistol in my backyard due to the low report.

When I first entered the sport I was rifle buying feen...one right after another.
Soon, after a few years I got some what bored with rifles, and acquired a used daisy 777. Well, that started me down the pistol road...hehe!

Anyways...the journey for me continues.
