Huben k1 or FX Impact

I am hoping to gain some input on which rifle to get.  All opinions welcome.  At this moment, I can't decide between the Huben k1 and the fx impact.

Huben k1 in .22 Cal

Out of all the semi auto available this is my top pick.
Likes- semi auto, power, slug shooter, bullpup, high fill pressure, decent shot count considering reservoir capacity to fpe output.

My main concern is accuracy and reliability.  Is the accuracy only an issue with the .25 Cals?  Has all the reliability issues been resolved with the new 2020 model?

Fx impact .30 Cal. Either 600mm or 700mm barrel.

Likes- accurate, high shot count, hi cap mags, reliable, power with new plenum,  interchangeable barrel liners..basically a proven platform.

Either gun would be utilized for dual duty.  Target and hunting up to small/medium size.  I do most of my shooting at distances greater then 75 yards.  I want the semi auto feature but only if accuracy is there. 
Either gun would be tuned for slugs only. 

If you have either gun, please share. If you don't have either, your opinion and thoughts are welcomed.

While the Huben is pretty darn cool, and has power to spare.  I feel like the Impact wins in the over all flexibility department.  That being said, if I got an Impact, it would be with 700mm .22 slug liner.  The fact that the Impact can be switched to different calibers, and has the ability for much more power in those calibers opens it up to more potential uses(especially with the new larger plenum).  It would be nice to be able to switch it over to .30 or even .35 for serious duty.  I also feel like the support side of things for the Impact are more accessible. 

I wouldn't knock you for going with a Huben by any stretch though.  Those guns are very cool, and adjustable as well.

Semi-auto Huben shoots projectiles directly out of mag, like a revolver cylinder.  The mag that cannot easily be unloaded.  So, the gun is always hot, until you shoot it empty.  That means you rely on the safety and no itchy fingers messing with it while not in your hands. 

Here is the Huben user manual:  https://www.krale.shop/media/blfa_files/Huben_K1_manual_EN-min.pdf .    It speaks about not storing the airgun loaded and not handing it to another person loaded, but does not spell out how to unload it.  Thus my assumption to shoot it until "dry".    Perhaps one can poke the projectiles all the way through the chamber, so loading and unloading are similar? 

The FX has removable mags, so you can carry more pre-loaded mags.  Yes, its rate of fire is lower.  If rate of fire is all important, get the new semi/full auto Marauder...

No you don't have to shoot the Huben dry to be safe. As long as one shot has been fired, you simply rotate the cylinder until the or a empty chamber is in the breech. Exactly the same way as you load it in the first place. Easy, Peazy.

Personally I would buy the Huben myself if I was going to spend that kind of money.  It's an ideal slug shooter from what I've been seeing and would be ideal for long shots on medium small game I think.

That is a good strategy for a single spontaneous firing, as when dropped for instance.  If a nosey house guest picks it up and pulls the trigger multiple times, they will eventually get to the loaded chambers; then start perforating things, if they persist.

Sure, keeping your airguns locked away is a good way to prevent this.  But you might have it out when someone arrives unexpectedly.

Both guns at roughly the same power and accuracy, one is semi-auto the other one is not. FX have a history of issues and tinkering needed while Huben seems to work out of box. Huben for me.

Just an FYI...  If you decide on the Huben, have your vendor check the serial number before he ships it!  Huben has issued a warning that rifles whose serial number begins with 23 may have made it into the retail stream after being rejected by Huben.  Those air rifle with a serial number beginning with 23 could have leak and accuracy issues.

Here's the message from Huben:

Recently, we found few rejected K1s entered into market, as per the series number, these airguns were rejected by Huben in the previous OEM factory, they are not shipped by Huben and don't have Huben Warranty. From 3rd April 2019, Huben stopped the cooperation with previous OEM factory and also stopped the delivery of K1, which is assembled in previous OEM factory, so if you purchased your K1 from April 2019 and the series number is started by 23 (meet both conditions), please kindly send the series number and the dealer you bought your K1 to us for confirming whether it's Huben product or not. Thank you and sorry for the trouble!

(P.S.: the new products which is manufactured by Huben, their series number is started by 22)

Their initial message was a bit confusing as to what had actually occurred so they provided Here some further clarification:

Those products have potential leaking problem and also accuracy, they couldn't pass the inspection by Huben, so we rejected that time. But to our shock, those products entered into the market, we heard it from the direct communication with customer. It's serious and we must remind all K1 owners about it. So we expect to receive the checking emails from customers who purchased their K1 from April 2019 and their series number is still started by number 23.

Personally, I find comparing an Impact with a Huben almost an apples to oranges comparison.  Had you asked about a Huben K1 and the LCS SK-19, it would be more of an apples to apples comparison.  If you need semi-auto/full-auto then I'd be seriously researching these two.  If a single shot repeater that has the capability of being swapped to a variety of other calibers, scratches your itch, then most definitely go with the Impact!

Yes we are comparing 2 totally different classes of guns here. 

As far as semi autos go, the Huben is most appealing to me.
When I got into the PCP game I also was drooling over an impact. 

I think ultimately if accuracy is there with huben then I'm sold. 

I do not care for full auto.  I think this is more of a novelty in the PCP game.  LCS from what I hear is no good with slugs.

I watched a video on that LCS yesterday, it was a good rate of fire for an airgun but basically I'd never have a use for a gun like that other than shooting the heck out of something.  Hopefully that don't start up some new crazy airgun laws that will screw it all up for everyone.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one. But, IMOP if your going to mainly hunt with it Huben is your best choice. I have purchased 7 Hubens since 2019. I had some nice air rifles and sold them all. I only have Hubens and a Career 707 MKII left. The Huben is an awesome hunter. It has 19 shots in the magazine that is like having 2 clips ready to shoot. It loads very easy. I think it loads easier than a FX mag that you have to wind up and install. Plus there is no tension on the pellets and you won't misplace a mag. The rifle does have a safety and I have had No issues with keeping the mag loaded and the rifle pointed in a safe direction. It's common sense. They are very accurate with JSB 25gr Redesign pellets 1/2-3/4"19 shot groups average at 50yds, smaller groups can be obtained. To me that's accurate because its a hunting rig and not a paper puncher. I can hit a 2" spinner target very easily at 73yds either standing leaning against a post or sandbag. You can shoot either pellets or slugs and very easy to adjust on the fly with the outside reg. adjustments and the power wheel. You can adjust the power wheel from 235-1100fps using a 25gr. .22cal. pellet. The triggers can be adjusted very low for a semi auto. I get 76 shots per 350bar fill using 25gr Redesigns at 910fps out of my Huben. It packs very easily being short through the woods. It is extremely quiet for the power it's producing. As far as reliability they are equal, with the Impact having 30+ O-rings for possibility of leaks. Huben is very well made inside and out.
As far as a vendor I would recommend Kraz Cool Air guns. Kelley is a very nice gentleman to deal with and his customer support is top notch.
I am not a salesperson just based off my experience. I have owned several FX pcp's which I do not own anymore.
Huben has made some changes in 2020 models- newer reg. faster recovery, unchoked barrel, to name a couple of things. I own a 2018 model.

Yes it's always loaded or Hot. But, it does have a safety(which can fail) but I have never had an issue.

i own a huben and not an Impact but RTI priest.

The huben is a good platform for semi auto, the only draw back is the magazine system itself. if you happen to have a jam either with a loose projectile or a bigger than magazines ID projectile. you will need to disassemble the whole thing...but once you got it running smooth...you cant stop feeding it pellets fast enough. 19 rounds in 22 cal 17 rounds in 25 cal. just like previous mentions, powerful and adjustable with lots of shotcounts, accuracy is dependant of pellets or slugs...gotta sort and pick. Huben is hot after the safety. there is a safety so i wouldn't worry about it so much even if loaded, point in safe direction and dont let anyone else touch your huben...i dont even let anyone touch my crown continuum. once a gun hits $800 and above mark...aint no body touching it unless i know they are good for it.

If Impact is not the go to, fall back on the Priest or Prophet, simpler system and has barrel offerings too, also cheaper for a CZ barrel. I havent test slugs out of Priest but i bet ya it can sling slugs accurate too once sorted.

Thank you for sharing.  I wonder if the barrel change for 2020 will retain the same accuracy.  Are you using a LDC or just the original shroud?  I have a Ronin LDC to add to either gun I select.  Have you tried the 33gr JSB or any of NSA slugs with good accuracy?

 I have and 2020 .22 Huben and its a laser with about anything I put into it, Its also the funnest gun I own and I shoot it the most often that said The Impact is more accurate and better suited for day to day shooting and quite versatile as well. For me to pick one over the other is impossible they are totally different animals and I use them for two different purposes. I doubt a Huben will ever win EBR or any other bench rest competition but in the field its unreal, the Impact on the other hand is so accurate its boring almost and is a proven winner and one *(&^ of a bench rest shooter. Buy both LOL. I did.

there is no comparison to me, i hunt with my impact. it dont play and it dont waste my slugs on making holes real big & fast.
its just one at a time and scores critters with each shot.

As for the .25 Huben accuracy?  Does the .25 have accuracy issues like previously questioned in this thread and others?  Any updates to the .25 Huben that remedied those accuracy issues?
