I have a vintage FWB 124D that I have replaced the seal and spring with a JM kit. It shoots JSB 8.44g pellets at 800 fps
I have spent a lot of time trying to get it shooting to include bending the barrel where it needs less than 1/4 turn on either turret to bring it to center at 30 yards.
I have gone through 4 UTG scopes in the process, they are lasting about 2 tins, or less until they start to loose center
I just tried the Bulls eye ZR mount, with a new UTG 40-16 SWA scope and I cant tell if it is the mount the scope or me but it is loosing center I get it sigted in at 30 yds and then next day it is 2" off, groupe size is also nearly double what I was shooting before. I was consistantly gettin just over .5" groups and with the new scope and ZR mount it is well over 1 inchsome times worse.
Screws are tight
Not sure where to go, I am woundering if the Hawk Airmax 3-12 with the side wheel focus would be more robust, or if the new scope was loose before I shot it try number 5 UTG with the ZR mount
What kind of accuracy should I expect with the ZR mount, it is the new one
Help and sugestions

It almost sounds as if piston seal fit is too loose
ARH does sell an oversize seal for those guns with slightly over size tubes. My personal 124 was such a case ... standard seal gun shot violent tho still accurate. Pulled the seal and installed the O.S. seal ... THUMP !!

I took her back apart to check things out
There appears to be no damage to the front of the piston seal,it is a snug fit it has a little resistance when I push the piston all the way forward
The chamber measures 10.9 mm and the piston is 11.1 mm
I have about 2000 shots through her
I think it is a smooth shooting cycle no twang or vibration but this is the only pellet gun I have ever shot so I may not know what smooth is
I have a hawk airmax on the way, it may be the UTGs just did not hold up

The UTG scopes I have had held up very well, but it's been a few years since I bought them. There could have been a decline in quality. I am surprised at the lack of accuracy though. Maybe the ZR mount? I haven't known many who have used them, but the reviews I have read seem to indicate that they are very good.
Let us know how it goes, and best of luck!

The seal is dry, I cleaned it for the photo
The chaffing is a little bur left from sanding the seal to fit, I can take it apart again and remove it.
When I reinstalled I did put a small amount of molly around the side of the seal and the rear of the piston
When I first installed I lubed the inside of the chamber lightly with molly and applied a heavier layer of molly to the piston and seal
