NOE sizer....

what all do i need to get into a setup? i know the sizing kit is $40 then each sizer bushing is another $9.75. what does the $40 001 Push Through Size Die Body come with? do i need the $7.50 25 Cal Air Gun Push Rod as well? how fast can i size down some .254" slugs to .249"?
could i just size say .252", then .250". could i just jump from .254" to .251", then to .249"
this is all new to me and i'm very sure that my gauntlet is .248" so .249" should be where i want to be with all i have read on the subject.

Dan I never did resizing until recently, my bench is pretty much filled up and I ended up getting the hand loader for sizing to conserve on space.

Sizing a .250" diameter piece of soft lead down .005 in on pass with a reloading press should go easy.
If you just buy the .249 insert, try it and if it leaves the slug in good condition the intermediate sizes you mention do not need to be purchased.
If sizing the slug point first leaves some lead smeared over around the base of the slug, try sizing base first. A nice square base on your projectile is vital to accuracy.
I have never seen or used a NOE bullet sizer. But a push rod will be needed. It needs to be small enough to go through the die.
Call the guys at NOE they will help.

The push thur plunger is no different than the powder burner rod.
To size down smoothly, polish the interior of the sizer with polishing compound on a wooden type q tip. (medcal grade at any drug store) in a dremel..
bullets will glide thru with little resistance. I size down from. .225 to .216 for the pistol and .260 to 251 for one of my air rifles. No issues what so ever. Otherwise, at least two sizers would be required.
Even Swede that owns NOE doubted it and i sent him so me samples. He was impressed.

Thank guys. so basically a sizer would run me $70 or so. Kit, 2 bushings and plunger. then of course a press to use it.
