Breathing some new life into my old Beeman Gt600 (Norica)

This gun has been around for 18 years. I got it when I was 14, and was my first springer. Last year I paid to have someone rebuild it. But they did an extremely poor job. So, I'm re-doing the whole thing.
The gun was sold as a Beeman, and I always wondered why I could not find parts for it. As it turns out, the gun is essentially a Norica Kronos or model 56. All those guns seem to use the same mainspring, and even today the overall design of the gun, and it's parts seem to have not changed one bit.
Funny enough, I always thought highly of Beemans because of this gun. It was always extremely accurate, and I always loved the trigger, too.
So far, I have ordered a new piston seal. And I have reached out to Vortek with the spring dimensions to get something suitable to throw in.
Since the factory spring broke, and was removed (not by me) the specs I found were 20mm OD, 14mm ID, 3mm thickness, and 263mm length. But no coil count.
I've started disassembly, pulled the badge, and the stock is being stripped so I can steam out the dents and dings. And give it a fresh finish. I also removed the sights, and have ordered a Williams peep sight for it. I also managed to install my spare HW50S front sights on it today, too.
I'll update as I make progress

I've been working on trying to strip the stock. Holy cow. I'm not sure what they dipped it it, but it's super thick, super hard, and does not want to disolve/come off. Several coats of stripper, scouring/scraping and I've gotten some progress on one side
I've completely disassembled everything and have started cleaning/polishing it up. Right now, I am prepping the barrel and receiver for browning. (then bluing) All the metal was covered in rust spots at one point in its life.
My Williams rear sight showed up already, and it does fit well, so that's great! I'm still cleaning up the muzzle/hw50 sight mount.
It's looking like the longest wait will be for my piston seal coming out of Australia.
Another interesting side note. I did make a spring compressor, and managed to free the rear block, however, the spring has to be compressed forward of the trigger group to get the group out, so the spring could come out.
I had a steel shroud off of my nova star. It's uselessly heavy, and I never intended to use it. It was the perfect size. 26mm OD (beeman receiver is 26.5mm Id). I cut off a 4" long section and cut a 20mm wide notch in the top of the steel tube to slip past the trigger group. That allowed me to compress the spring without using the rear block/trigger group to do so.
