Texan trigger parts diagram
«

I installed new hammer spring, but the trigger plate will not go flush. Disassembled the trigger and safety and need help putting it together.
It is new, don’t really care about the warrantee, not wanting to send it off to anyone, with what’s going on in the world, not sure I would get it back
Where do I find a s diagram of the Texan trigger and safety?

Can you post a picture of what your speaking of? It would be pretty easy for me to compare it with mine since I'm in the middle of finishing the stock.

Here's some pics actual the little piece fits in the safety behind the middle spring, last picture is the clearest of how it fits in and if it's not seated in there you can't get the plate to set in place been there.

That is a huge help Terry.
We have it in correctly, but when I tested it, it did not fire, turned out when I removed the floor plate I noticed that the bottom horizontal spring had
turn4d vertical.
I used to work on my Condors and talon SS years ago, in the days of TAG, and removed the safety, this rifle would be a better gun without the safety I feel, but at the present time, I just want it up and running intact.
Thanks again.

It appears my bad eyes had it wrong after all.
Here is a picture of the offending part, and right now I truly have better adjectives to describe it.
When we try to position that part with the longflange towards the butt stock, and the cut in the pin hole facing up, we can’t get the pin in.
What actually pulls the sear out of the hammer notch, this piece or the safety somehow?
Also the auto function of the safety does not function. It will cock if the safety is engaged manually, but being as we can’t get that part in correctly, it will not fire.I need to take a break, vertigo is getting really bad.
Thanks again guys.

This may help as a general reference to an AF trigger.

Thanks Loren, unfortunately that is for Condors and Talons. Texans are much more complicated.
I do wish I could find a diagram like that for a Texan.
Thanks,

Lani and I worked a total of 15-16 hours over two days trying to figure out that trigger. Lani did most of the fitting as she has the dexterity and the eye sight.
I made up a working model using the parts and drilled pin holes in a board the same spacing as on the gun, assembled as best I could but never got it working.
Finally we called AirFroce and asked for a diagram of the trigger. The gal from AF was nice but told me that they do not give out that information, however they would fix it for $60.00, plus shipping and parts. I told her I liked the Texan but not enough to die for it, meaning leave my Covid19 free safe haven to ship my Texan at the local post office.
About that time the phone rang and my old friend , Dyotat100 (Doug) called. He had read this call for help and wanted to know why I had not reached out to him.
To make a long story shorter, he guided me step by step as I put it back together sans the auto function of the safety.
To say I was elated, tickled, pleased and over the moon just does not quite cover how I feel about Doug calling and helping me, suffice it to say I am happier than a two pec ker ed Christmas puppy.
Many thanks to those that tried, Terry and Loren.
Your never too old to learn, and Now I know how to assemble a Texan trigger.

Nice you got it shooting again, and once again we see who knows the AF guns better than the manufacturer itself. Doug is the number one AF guy!

I suspected he did, but I could not find it at the time. I did watch the video where he put the heavy spring in and referred to the disaster I was about to have.
Thanks for the link.
