balanced not worth the hassle for a basic HPA 22xx gun.. AS for the drop block , hook straight to the valve and make sure to leave yourself some plenum volume or that will be a choke point..Theres a million ways to skin the cat, ive done about a dozen of them and theyre all a P.I.T.A to be honest . A few people have ordered the gauntlet drop blocks , which are very cheap( 21 shipped ) but that still presents the challenge of sealing the tube and the valve to the tube.. Back to connecting straight to the valve, reducing the risk of chasing down internal leaks after assembly..heres one rendition in 9mm i made recently , its not really a drop block , But making a breech is about the same complexity as making a drop block so i figured id make the part with fewer orings 20200130_161959_HDR (1) by murphyrobert9, on Flickr
the coupler is an aluminum adapter machined on both sides , one side with female 9/16-18 to connect to the valve , other side is female m16-1.5 to connect to the tank..The gauge goes right into the tank wall , its pretty thick steel wall but really i was lucky it sealed. The foster is on the end where the wall is thickest.. The outward pressure on the gauge threads works out to be about 215lbs at 2000 psi *(max fill
That is a very nice looking set up, did you make the breech yourself?
Nice looking setup you have! Just wondering why two levers?Marko
