good, cheap, off the shelf .458-.459 bullet

I need some suggestions on cheap off-the-shelf .458 and .459 bullets, soft, in 250 to 350 gn.  Without wax lube.  Boxes of 250 or 500.  Velocities will be 650 to 950.  Oh, accurate would be nice, too. 

It would be nice if it was somewhere I could call and give a credit card number and they'd ship them out the next day.  I'd also like it to be a supplier you have personally used.  I can find plenty of places on the internet, but there's nothing like a personal thumbs-up from someone.

PS... Many of you guys have already mentioned places you like, but many of them don't have .458 or .459, and that's what I am after.  Sorry for being so picky.

I'd have more info for you if you were interested in 400+grainers.  Whytesleatherworks offers a 300 grain .458 he calls the 45-60.  Not sure how soft you want it.....he offers them in about BHN9 alloy.

Kind of a long-shot, but I would ask all the boolit casters who has .45Colt molds that drop slugs at .458 before sizing.....that might be your best bet in that weight range for .458.

Contact this guy, and see what he can do for you.  I bought 750 slugs from him last time and am quite pleased with them.

Thanks.  I called him and he had 50 of the 300 gn 45-60 on the shelf and he's shipping them to me tomorrow.  That will be enough to see how they work with the barrel I have.

I have a Lee mold #90373 coming for 340 gr. in .457.... That likely means they will drop between .457 and .459 I would think.... I'll let you know once the mold gets here and I have some time.... I plan to cast them in 1:100 alloy (WAG maybe BHN 6-7).... I'm not going to be doing them for sale, but if they work out size-wise maybe you could then find somebody willing to make them for you.... FYI, just the cost of the lead is 11 cents a round plus shipping (from Rotometals).... No interest in casting your own?.... or just not enough time (I know the feeling)....

Yea those heavy .45-70slugs get expensive wherever you buy them......I pay 12cents apiece for the lighter .45Colt stuff around 260grains and under.

I think I'd enjoy casting, but there just aren't enough hours in the day!

Yes, I certainly know what you mean. Burn the candle too much at both ends and all of a sudden the fun is gone. As much as I like making everything  I can rather than buying , common sense has to prevail once in a while.
