I like the Disco tube for pumping with my China hand pump. I may some day move up to more expensive PCPs but for now its Disco as long as I just pump. I already had most of the trigger packs, barrels and breeches from other pumper and CO2 projects, so I just ordered tubes, valves and fill plugs. The one on the left has a 160 Crosman stock, cut down 19" tube, 14'' 22cal. barrel and a regular Disco valve. It's a great light weight carbine. The middle one has a 160 stock, 19" tube, .25cal. Baker Airgun barrel and a Magnum Airpower valve. It likes Baracuda Hunter Extreme pellets best and hits with a wallop that has to be heard to believe on tree rats. The one on the right has a Walnut stock made from a stock blank, a 20'' .22cal. barrel, regular length tube, and a Magnum Airpower valve. It's my long range hunter. They also have Hill depingers.

Any time I see one of the discos it takes me back to what started me down this never ending rabbit hole of pcps. Loved that gun so much I knew my springer days were officially over.

Great looking Disco's. That middle one, I have a duplicate if it, but built off a qb78. Same barrel, same valve, same length tube, but I believe a little less air capacity due to the qb's longer hammer area. Mine also had a gauge port, leaving about 70cc of air. It is my little high power problem solver., tuned for 6 tight shots over 60fpe.

Discos didn't make me give up springers. But they made me quickly give up pumps!
Once I got a carbon tank I was truly lost down the rabbit hole of more PCPs.

Mark, I like the gloss finish on your stock. I just did a few coats of True oil and a matte finish on mine. I may have to do a gloss on one after seeing yours. Here is a shot of a Baracuda Hunter Extreme in the 25cal., with the magnum valve, I shot across my driveway into duct seal. At about 50fpe they expand pretty good. I must be in the minority because I don't mind pumping at all, at least with a Disco size tube.

Great work!
They all look great, and I really like the Carbine on the left.

Very nice 3 Amigos!
I am surprised they all still have a single barrel band even though they have other mods. The extra barrel band improved accuracy in both my Disco's.

Thanks for the compliments folks. I had to make the breech risers from PVC and the barrel bands from a black, tough, hard plastic cutting board because of the clearance problem caused by shorter barrels and TKO. The bands are a very tight fit and have set screws. They do not move like the stock metal bands. The plastic grips and holds much better than metal on metal and I found I could get by fine with just one per gun.

The scope on the .25cal came on a SKS rifle I bought in the late 1980s. It is a Chinese Red Star brand in 4x-20mm. I doubt it was very expensive as the new, unfired SKS was only $99. back then. It has a very clear, sharp image and is only 6 1/2" long. I use it a lot hunting because it's so handy on air guns and my .22 LR semiauto. Not a big field of view, but I would buy another one if I found one priced right at a gun show.

That cut down one might have just sold me on making the PCP jump. I've been weighing a wildfire vs 1077 for a while now. Going back and forth but a shorter discovery means I can make a child sized PCP to teach fundamentals to my kids on as well as getting an airgun to train transitions between targets.

Mountain Airgun cuts the back end off a regular tube and recuts the slots and holes so no gauge hole means more air space in the tube. I got my tubes from Baker Airgun ($19.99) but decided not to do the machine work myself. If you have the right tools it should not be hard to duplicate the holes/slots in the cut down tube. I wanted blued tubes so I did not order Cothran stainless ones. The carbine is a really light weight fast handling little gun.
