FX Independence stretches it's legs a bit.

I recently had the opportunity to visit both Gene and David (Rocker1) and was shown the most gracious hospitality by both fine gentlemen. I shot between 1300-1400 rounds of JSB 18.1 gn Exact Jumbo Heavy pellets, between the two places, over the course of a week. We shot all manner of targets both reactive and paper. My FX Indy was performing as advertised and by that I mean it only missed because I did not do my part. While I was at David's place I was able to really sit down and do some longer range bench shooting. There was a target board set up at a ranged distance of 52 yards. I shot five single loaded shots and went to my target. Seeing how well it had grouped I cut out the target and ran for a dial indicator. It measured .364" CTC! I was so pleased with my setup. "Groups under a 1/2" at 50 yards" is what they advertised,...glad to know it wasn't just fanciful marketing.
Brett
It has come to my attention that it is difficult to "see" my group for lack of scale. Well it is stuck to a 2x2 Post-It piece of paper and the red dot is .25". I will throw a dime down and try to get another picture posted.

Brett, are you trying to get me in trouble? LOL
I've never owned a Mercedes, Infiniti or Rolls Royce; pretty much always been an old Ford truck kind of guy. But I now kind of understand why someone would want one.

That's an awesome CTC group! I have been looking at the FX guns for a long time now and I am almost ready to hit the button on one. Hard to beat 0.364" at 50yds, but just curious if you did that over and over or very close to it?
You guys should definitely start your own Elite FX club if you are jealous of our Elite Condor one
BTW, that sounds like a challenge Brett! hehe. We should have a shoot-out between Air Force Condor and FX owners one day with say.. three (3) 5-shot groups only, and use the best group?
I bet it will be very close, but I would expect the FX guns to do a lot better since they cost ~2.5x the price $ of a Condor.. or NOT
Nevertheless FX should kick Condor butt I would think.. but don't be surprised if it doen't..
Here is a .775" group from a Condor @ 100yds(!) I had copied off the TAG about a year ago
The author did not always get that same grouping, but that was his best. He measured it kind of funny, but it looks like it works out as he went to the outter line/circle of the pellet impact with the right line he drew..
