I have a friend that has a pawn shop. Found this still in box with factory seal. I have always wanted one. I wish it was the Gold Scorpion but for $60 I'll take this one. And its new!, I started to tear down the rifle. I had no idea there is beautiful wood hidden beneath the black coating. I will be stripping off the black and refinishing the stock to expose the wood.
Should I leave it the natural wood or stain it?

Except for the black stock, same rifle as the Gold Scorpion aka RW3000..lol. Had one now owned by a friend. The dual trigger takes a bit to get used to but mine was a pretty nice shooter. Not sure what the wood actually is but if you decide to stain, I'd suggest using a pre-stain conditioner first just in case. FWIW, I also have the Mendoza Blackhawk .22. Same action, synthetic stock and was a birthday present a year and a half ago from my girlfriend.
Here's the natural version of that stock:

I recently had an opportunity to shoot a Mendoza RM-6000 BZ and was quite impressed.
I have been casually researching these since I got home.
Please keep us posted on your experience with yours.

So I bought mine from a pawn shop new.
But if anyone is interested i searched the web and found this place. I bought a Norica spyder from them. They have the Mendoza RM 3000, well it says they do.
I don't know if they are in stock or not.

TradeMyGun is literally 10 minutes from my house. It is a Paintball complex where I would get my HPA before I bought my compressor.
When I last checked, for pellet rifles they are only carrying Norica's now, the Mendoza's they had were on closeout.
When I searched the Air rifle inventory Mendoza no longer came up so I assumed they were gone.
Maybe that is the remainder of the stock they have.
Great place though, very stand-up owner.

Actually forgot about this one until I was re-reading the thread and remembered I had this wrapped, boxed and safely stored away. A Made for Crosman Mendoza RM577 .177 with factory peep sight I got awhile back from our very own rocker1 when he advertised having 2 for sale. When I pm'd, he asked which one and having never owned anything with a peep, I said that one. He even shipped it in a very nice Allen soft case which I wasn't expecting and he never said a word about....definitely awesome guy!!

WOW Steve, She is a beauty!
Noticing the absence of the classic Mendoza muzzle brake. Seeing as you got it from Rocker1, did it come with one of his moderators?

As far as I can find, it never came with one. Found this listing for it on PA, so I at least have the basic specs for the rifle. Put it away safe, life got in the way, forgot I even had it until now (pretty sad actually...also why I sold off a bunch) so I've never even shot it, although if the adapter I have will fit the barrel, I have one of his ldc's I've had longer than the rifle.

Steve, our Crosman RM577 stories are similar. I got mine from another GTA member and he sent it to me in a nice soft case. Can't recall his handle right now.
He refinished the stock and painted it dark grey, removed the sights and muzzle break and installed a nice barrel weight on the end and sent it with a 3-9x50 AO Center Point scope and one pcs mount. Even with the single blade trigger a good shooter. One of my favorites.
You have probably noticed the guns Mendoza made for Crosman have a blue spacer between two white ones between the stock and recoil pad.

Them 577's are tricky. Those projects can get out of hand real quick.

Having been bit by the Mendoza bug, I am now on the watch.
If anyone is near Cleveland, OH. this guy is selling two.
Asking
$100 each or both for $200
https://www.armslist.com/posts/11378343/cleveland-ohio-rifles-for-sale--two-mendoza-22-cal--or-1
Both are .22 and doesn't tell the model... the darker colored model has checkering and reportedly shooting 800fps. but sounds like it has no iron sights and would need a scope.
I would "bite" on that one, but I just blew my wad on a new PB purchase.

800 fps in .22 with what, light weights? Hope he didn't add oil to boost it. If you are interested, you might ask how he got that number. And if they are single bladed triggers or double. The double is definitely nicer.

The top one is an older RM200. The square trigger guard and older type rear sight with the slide bar. Has the dual trigger.
The bottom one is a Mendoza made for Pyramid Tech Force M12. Single blade trigger. I have one in .177.
Baker Airguns has a Tech Force M8. Smaller like the 200, dual trigger. Has a Winchester branded 4-32 AO scope $120.
