Benjamin 342 Pellet & Scope Mount Suggestions?

Are there certain brands of pellets that, on average, work better in the older Benjamin .22 guns?

Any better mounts for the 342 than those cheap 4 piece bases

I wound up using a vintage Benjamin 273 Peep. It was period correct upgrade to the factory open blade sight.

I had one of those for a new 342 way back when I was a teen and all the way down ( resting on top of the receiver ), it still shot way too high.

I shoot mainly 28g Eun Jins in my Steroided 342 & 18g JSBs in my stock 342.
I use the Mac-1 IA mount on my 342s & Sheridan Blue & Silver Streaks. Doesn’t promote barrel separation, is rock solid & can be breech or scout mounted.
