Ed K tuned my FWB Sport a future classic.

  Nicest shooting offhand gun I own.  He did a wonderful trigger job on it as well as replacing the stock spring with one from ARH that provides a sublime shot cycle.  Perfect with its extra ordinary iron sights.

I will following up later this week and post groups.

Oh, by the way Champions Choice, a preferred FWB dealer, is selling these at $495.00.

Hey Ed,
I always dismissed this gun because the price was ridiculous for what you get.
However, at $495 ... now were talking .  Does the rifle have a plastic trigger guard or plastic trigger?
If yes, are there aftermarket replacements as this spells of cheap.

Kind of like putting "O' Riley hubcaps" on a Porsche

I know what you mean, the 124 and 127 had plastic triggers, and crappy piston seals.  ARH made a lot of money providing nice upgrades for those old gems.
This uses no plastic anywhere I can find.  The trigger is especially nice with groves.  The trigger guard is angled and fits your hand perfectly when shooting off hand

Well, my two 124's have metal triggers. Stock, too. The seals weren't "crappy", just did not have the formula down yet. They were transitioning from leather. Diana Giss guns suffered from seal degradation, as well. Give them credit for pioneering.

Glad your new FWB is coming along so nicely. Those were much anticipated until we saw the price sticker.

All my guns are nice.  Thanks Frank.  Yogi, hard to compare the two.  Lots more power with the FWB, and it fits perfect for offhand. 

No plastic and at $495 not a bad deal.

Mine is still fine since getting it some years back and naming myself after it. 

What I like:
1. The Machine entirety
2. The Barrel
3. The Sights
4. The Trigger
5. The Accuracy with a variety of pellets
6. The Palm Swell

What I don't like:
1. Hold sensitive

I paid right around $800 then for it, and the serial number is rather low compared to the ones found today, at number 204.

I never tuned it.  I have shot it over 2000 times easy.  To me a comparable rifle would be an R9 I suppose.  But it is a very different rifle when firing and working.  It does have a fast lock time--pellet dwelling time--!

One of the old Dinosaurs that comes around the range once in a awhile was a Beeman dealer back in the day and noticed right away the similar lines.  He ask me if it was a new 124 LOL.

You said the trigger sucked before the tune!  Now you say it was good???
Did Ed K. ever tell you what he did to turn it into such a gem?  Did he change springs?  What else?

The trigger was heavy, but broke crisply,  it was a good hunting trigger, but it sucked for target shooting.  I believe I said he used a spring from ARH.

See this is what I've been saying about my own FWB Sport: it LIKES the boxed Crossman Premier 10.5gr Domes as well as the same weight Piranhas.  It also shoots Crow Magnum pellets (either old Beeman or new HN).  It is a rifle that doesn't behave at all the way HWs do.

I love mine as it is out of the box quite a few years ago.
