I upgraded all the springs and seals in my shooters and figured I would try this spring in the 350 .177 with a vortek seal.

With less than 100 shots through her she is spitting out CPUMs at 933 +- 6 pretty consistently and the H&N FTT at 1038, 1031, 1035.
I think those are pretty good numbers and = 20.5 fpe. She makes one heck of a thump, and has quite a kick.

If you have a 350 especially the .22 I could see some significant gains in power with this spring from Maccari.

My 350 .177 went from 18 fpe - 20.5 fpe with this spring and seal, I know it is over kill, But I like the power and feel of this beast now. Hopefully as she breaks in she gets stronger.

Thats definatly a big gain in power. And if it keeps a smooth shot cycle thats prettyimpressive is that a new spring he just started putting out?

I believe it is, it is heavier wire than oem, and it states.

I didn't use too much heavy tar, and it is quick with no twang BUT it has more kick to the shoulder ( and I don't mean fire arm kick). It is smooth cocking but the last bit is Quite hard I am pretty strong, when I cock it, I follow up with holy cr** that's tough.
I would personally think this kit would better suit a .22, There is no real torqeing to speak of, Smooth, I don't think I would describe it as such. I would not compare it to a 34 or a vortek-ed rifle, more like a 350 magnum,magnum Rifle.

So this is the spring you would recommend if your hunting gorillas or mother in laws but if your after super smooth shot cycle and little less power for target shooting at long range a vortek kit is better?

Now the real question could this spring be put into the guides of a vortek kit? And if so would it have the power of the maccari spring and smoothness of a vortek kit?

Seeing she is still breaking in the new seal I am not sure how it will be after 500 more shots.

Also not certain if it would fit the vortek kit or not. She definitely has kick and jumps with the shot, she is still as accurate as before at 20 yards, The shot cycle is quick but strong and makes more of a thump then before. If your looking for smooth shooting and better handling I would think JM's soft kit would be better, But I am a sucker for punishment and am interested to see how strong she is going to get.

I really just needed to change the seal as the old spring is still in great shape and Personally the old spring was a little more docile and easier to cock. I find the old spring made her a little less hold sensitive where I could float her on an open palm, now she needs a little restraint in the grip area and the addition of a soft cheek riser to hold her down a bit.

I am going to my buds this weekend and will do some longer distance shooting and will try for accuracy at different yards, She is definitely a different beast but is definitely a BEAST.

On my RAM (RWS 350 Clone) I went with the Vortek and gained 40 FPS and got a smoother shooting easier to cock gun. I also have an RWS 34P that had the JM kit in it and it shot harsh with a little twist in the shot cycle, I replaced that kit with the Vortek one and it calmed the gun down immensely but gave me a slightly more powerful velocity. No heavy tar and no playing with washers.

I plan on getting the vortek kits a little later in time.
I am using vortek springs in my 34's and all are using the vortek seals just not the kit.
I got all the springs and seal for 150.00 dollars plus shipping including the spring for the 350 and the stoeger from maccari.
3 Vortek kits will cost me 319.00 plus taxes and delivery I don't have that right now, If the 350 stays this way I just might switch back to the OEM spring. First I will let it break in.

I think we all get wrapped up in the velocity and power net. Lol hey if you can control it then go crazy i say. Will be waiting for the longer target shooting results and to see if it increases the power more. That would be crazy.

Really don't care if it goes 5,000 FPS or 950 FPS as long as it's smooth so I can hit what I am aiming at. I recently sent back a prototype heavy duty spring from Vortek for the RWS350/B28/RAM. It was just too much to handle no matter what weight pellet I used in the gun.

Unfortunately no accuracy test done yet at any significant distance except 21 yards.

A word to the wise...This is not the spring to use in a .177.

After much trying for some consistent accuracy and feel I have kinda given up on it. So I removed the heavy piston weight and piston sleeve. I made my own sleeve out of HDPE and some washers aswell from the same material.
She has calmed down quite a bit and has become more user friendly...She started out at 20.5 fpe then dropped to 19.5 fpe but was still to harsh...Now she is sitting at 16.5 fpe with cpums and is much better.

I have a vortek kit to put into her.. but I am going to wait for a bit and use this spring. I also still have the oem spring which is docile compared to this one.

But I like how she is running for now and will start to for accuracy soon at 21 yards... My buddy and I have had a falling out, cause my boss and him had a business deal going and it went south, and as such he has kinda blamed me in a way I guess cause I work for the guy. not worthy Cause we were good friends... shows doesn't take much to wreck a friendship.
We also do not have the warehouse any more either moved on to another building so 21 yards is the limit till I can get to puslinch 1 hour away to do some long distance shooting.

Hey Rob, a while back Tom from Vortek sent me this ungodly powerful spring for my B28 .22. (the prototype one) It pretty much took 2 hands to cock the gun and the power was insane with heavy pellets but sub-par with normal weight ones. I shot it for a weekend and it ended up ruining one scope and split my stock at the for-end near the screw. Accuracy sucked and I couldn't keep any scope in place on it. So I took it out fixed the stock I ended up trading Tom that kit out for a normal kit, and put in the standard Vortek kit. Such a night and day difference. There really is such a thing as too much power.

Mark has been saying this the whole time about these guns.

I find she is acting real sweet with the pro mag spring, minus the weight and sleeve. 16.5 fpe with crosman heavies and 18fpe with crosman lites at 1017 fps

With the parts I made it is smooth... When she gets tired there is a vortek kit and seal waiting or if she acts up again...which ever comes first

my 350 shoots the cpum 10.5's at 950 with the stock spring and is very very accurate.....it does have a pretty good thump when you pull the trigger though......... wouldn't change a thing....... my bro Mark611 once owned this rifle, but it had to come to a home where the thump would be appreciated......LOL.......good gun....tough to learn and horrendous to shoot offhand....... but as I said....would not change a thing......love that SMACK! when it hits its mark too !!!!!!!!
