Anyone happen to know where I might find a M18x1.5 male to 5/8-18 female adapter. I'd like to put a larger tank on a TalonP.
PCP Tunes has one for $50. Seemed pretty expensive but I was going to buy it until they added another $31 for shipping. Just can't see $81 for one.

Best bet would try your luck ordering a larger tank from Aliexpress, or waiting until this coronavirus blows over. I think it's affecting stuff getting shipped here. In all honesty, your best bet is just getting a tank with the proper threads. I may be wrong, but I don't think the smaller tanks have enough thickness in the neck to safely re-thread to 5/8-18. I know that some older 62 cu in 3k paintball tank were thick enough to rethread to M18-1.5 though... Maybe try a 48/4500 paintball tank?

That has 5/8-18 threads... I have an old 62CI 3k paintball tank on my Condor. You'd need to get an angled adapter from PCPTunes though... Not sure how the short/fat tank would feel... But it's probably your best bet w/all the coronavirus stuff going on.

Hmm I was just thinking how nice a 2200 psi, regulated 300 bar bottle would work on my Escape UL, while I was making HOSP go pop with my cast BBT HPs

I bought a ring loc valve for my talonp and put on a 580cc bottle. I believe I paid around $150. Purchased directly from airforce. If the adapter is going to cost you $81 already, might as well put that towards the valve.

I mean, in all reality, just buy a Condor tank from PA or something- The Escape, TalonP, its all the same stuff- just different tank threads. Quickest and easiest thing to do (albeit, not cheap) is just pick up a Condor tank. $219 at PA... Or $21/mo with AFFIRM...

Nothing wrong with those chinese tanks though. But the CF ones are going for around $150... Also, you could sell the TalonP tank to offset the cost of a Condor tank.

I appreciate the responses. Yeah you're probably right, just get a condor tank/valve and be done with it, or maybe just the valve and order a carbon fiber tank.

Check around. Also see if you can't do any digging to see if that coronavirus is affecting shipments from china. If not, then getting a 5/8-18 tank would be the way to go- larger and more air capacity: 480 cc at 3k psi vs. 500 cc at 4500 psi. Not saying you'd go too much higher than 3k (if even that), but it's nice to know you have options.

Ebay has a variety of bottles they claim ships from us, just ordered a .22L 300 bar CF for 130 shipped. Beware there are some aluminum bottles claiming 300 bar, but I could not see enough of the label / stamping to confirm.

I was checking ebay earlier to add a link to this thread, most of those US shipped tanks are M18-1.5. All the ones I saw that were 5/8-18 shipped from china with a ship window of well over a month

Not saying there ISN'T any 5/8-18 CF 4500 psi tanks, I just didn't see any.

Doesn't that only equate to 380 cc's?

Yes 380cc but a lot more than the original tank.
I have several Condor Tanks with various valves as well so I switch depending on whether I want light weight or more shots.

Oh man!! You're right! I thought the TalonP tank is a 380 cc tank!! I didn't know a factory tank was only 213 cc! That's crazy!

Mac 1 sells 22ci 5/8-18 aluminum bottles.They work perfect for the TalonP.

I have experienced trouble the last week ordering Chinese made. Items. A vice, two bipods and a .5l 4500 psi cf tank.

All vendors ordered from contacted me the next day and said they were out of stock, but the warehouse in China had them, I canceled all 4 orders.

Then I made a offer on a tank, requiring in country availability, the offer was refused.

I now have hopefully purchased the cf tank, the vendor when asked if the tank was in the uS and to furnish a tracking #, advised me in questionable English not to worry and early this morning has provided a tracking #, but no USPS possession as of late this morning.

I am having trouble trusting these guys.

been having the same issue trying to order a small CF bottle, Ebay listing said us stock, next day no in stock will refund $, I think I have one coming from a different vender, will check status and report back. Didn't know Ebay would allow items not in stock to be advertised like they are right now

IT seems the AF adapters are as scarce as hens teeth these days .

Yeah, I didn't think finding an adapter would be a big deal, I was definitely wrong. I did order a 22 ci tank from China a few days ago. Suppose to be on the way, who knows when I might get it.
