I've forgotten long ago but I just took one of the screws to the store to match it. They are metric and you can find a selection at Lowe's or Ace. I went with stainless Allen head screws.

I also used Stainless Steel Hex Head - M5 x 16 with stainless washers
If you have the wood stock - do not tighten too much - you can crack wood.

I'm a wood kind of a guy myself. I guess I'm just traditional. It's true if you over tighten the screws it can crack - but not usually. Screws can become loose due to wood compression, too. If you tighten the screw, even with a torque wrench, over time it will loosen as the wood naturally compresses from the pressure. I have no idea how much a synthetic stock will compress over time. I do think synthetic is less prone to show damage than wood but I don't take my gun afield so it doesn't matter. Get the type you prefer. You didn't mention thumb hole versus pistol grip versus traditional, let alone Monte Carlo. I prefer a traditional straight stock either Monte Carlo or not. I think the cut out for thumbhole weakens a stock and don't like the look of a pistol grip. That's all personal preference, too. My gun, my money, my choice.

I purchased mine with the wood stock also. My thought I that this stock feels bulky in my hands and slippery I did order the synthetic stock for the rifle it arrived all I can tell you is that the barrel fit into that stock is very tight . Not sure what to do .
Thanks
