Vendor Gates gone?

hmmmm .... good question . i searched vendor and vendors here hoping to find the comment and got nothing before 2013 and 2015 respectively using most recent and show as post . maybe a mod will elaborate ??

Well, you might want to consider posting your concerns in the thread that I linked.

Speaking with Travis .. he stated that all the vendors info would be consolidated under a single gate. Now if that included past content I'm not sure

I'm a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) fanatic. It's all about connecting humans searching for information(using google, etc), and a website that has that information.  So the next time someone goes to Google and searches for Raptor Airgun there will be a massive amount of information on the GTA that is no longer available. Trouble is that content was already crawled by Google and other search engines, and those pages will still show up in search results, but will error out when that human clicks on the link.

At the very least all of that content should have been saved and posted elsewhere.

Of course the timing of all of this when there were several threads of people complaining about their Raptors, is rather interesting to say the least.

You'll find a bunch of missing threads.

 Nothings at JSAR had any implication on changing the vendor gate that was set into motion weeks ago and all vendors where sent a PM a week ago to let them know, only two replied. The vendor gates where extremely under used and took up lots of forum space the new setup will allow all vendors to post but takes up far less area. Nothing was deleted it’s in the back admin area. I’ll page threw what’s worth saving in the near future.

Maybe the active Vendor gates should have remained active until they were consolidated and just the inactive gates removed.  I think it would have given a much different perspective of what was actually going on...

Speaking of things disappearing, I just tried to log into my account on the JSAR website and received a 403 Forbidden error!  This is somewhat concerning because I have no access to all my past purchase history and am unable to check the status of my current order.  I hope it's just a glitch and the accounts area has not been compromised.

It is always a technical challenge to keep historical information available as systems are update / changed. 😊
