I have a chance to buy Crosman 160 Ted Williams variant in 98% condition for $350.00 Seems steep to me what do you guys think?

Seemed high but my Blue Book says add 50% for the Ted Williams Model.  My book is 4 years old but has it just shy of $300?  98% condition does demand some $, not easy find in that old a gun?

The neatest version of the 160 in my opinion anyway.

Note that Blue Book prices on a number of items were adjusted in the latest (12th) edition that came out a few years back, showing the 160 Ted Williams in 100% condition at $240 which I'd think is about right.  Of course ebay prices may be much higher but to me those are aberrations.

  Zowie.  Lucky me, I snagged mine for 50 bucks at an estate sale.  Has a matching Ted Williams scope.

According to Tim McMurray, Sears got the "best of the best" from Crosman due to the early financial help Sears gave Crosman in the early days. Sears litterally helped put them on the map! BTW, I picked up my Mint Blonde Sears 400 for $70.00 at an Angel Statium Gun Show 25 years ago!

  I miss the Sears of old which always had the upgraded Crosmans and powder burners under the Ted Williams name.  I had a Ted Williams version of the 150 with the vent rib style front sight and a Ted version of the 1400 when I was a teenager.  They were always a step above a regular Crosman.  Gave them to my brother years ago and now he says he does not know what became of them.  I bet his boys still have them.  I still have a Sears Winchester .22 rifle and a shotgun with beautiful walnut stocks that I will never get rid of till I'm gone.
