Rainy Day Rat...

It rained all day today and just stopped right as the sun was going down.  This little fair weather Rat waited till the sun went down and the rain stopped.  I saw him when I checked the Critter Cam and didn't want to miss an opportunity to do some Rat Sniping so I just grabbed the Crown and ran outside.  The video is a bit shakier than most because I just sat on the cold wet ground, rested the Crown on my knee and lined up a shot through the fence.  I was actually shocked when I saw him flip over and still wasn't sure I actually got him till I went into the woods with my flashlight and found him dead as a doornail!  That Crown never disappoints!

Thanks Tom!  I usually try to get out early to set up and open the gate so I don't have to shoot through the fence.  It does add to the challenge!

LOL!  Thanks you Randy!  It definitely adds an extra step to the process, I have to adjust focus on the fence first, align a shot through an opening an, readjust focus to the rat, then take the shot!  I'm actually becoming fairly proficient at it!

I think I may wait a little while...  I got a call today and there will be a new beast in the house next Tuesday, so I think I will wait and give Cousin Meth Mouse a proper introduction to his worst nightmare, Raptor EZ Mini!
